ItsAllConfusing
I'm an introvert. At work I sit in the midst of extroverts. The coworker that I sit across from has moved her computer in such a way that her back is towards me. I've created this tension by being me. There are some open cubicles and I'm contemplating moving to one. When I move I'll be away from all of the noise and my coworker maybe won't feel so tense. Now is my chance to make a move since we have new workers coming in next week. Any thoughts on what I should do? Any thoughts?
basil67
What happened to make you think the coworker moved because of you?
Eternal Sunshine
The tension is in your mind Just relax and do your thing. Don’t feel forced to talk or pretend to be more extroverted. In time, you may get more comfortable and find that you are chatting naturally.
Malin889
Maybe it’s awkward facing each other all day so that’s why she moved her computer.
Mr. Lucky
Any thoughts on what I should do? Yes. Quit putting so much thought and emphasis on non-productive matters like this and focus on doing your job. No one ever got a raise or promotion based on seat location... stillafool
If it makes you feel more comfortable move your work station. Make sure to get permission first.
d0nnivain
If you are allowed to move & you think you will be more productive by moving, then move.
