This has driven a wedge in our realtionship and i need some advice on how to deal with them if anyone else is going through this. thanks Link to post Share on other sites

They did not put her on meds because this was her first one; out of the blue. She was 62 years old. She went almost 6 months before she had 3 more; all in a 16 hour period; all in her sleep. Her Neurologist put her on 300mg of Dilantin daily. That was one month ago and she's been ok so far. She just had her checkup (after a blood workup) to see where her Dilantin levels are, and they were at 10; which her Neuro was happy with. That is no guarantee she'll never have another seizure, though. There are no guarantees with seizures. She is also married but her hubby is very supportive. Yes, it changed their lives dramatically because she is walking around like a time bomb; scared to pieces. However, he is there for her all the way and I know that helps. Good luck to your and yours. If she was still having seizures at 10, I think he would have raised her meds. That's what they may have to do with your husband if he's still having seizures at 10.
