The problems with feminism.

Sabaton, you still haven't answered my question. What will you be doing for the women in these countries you speak of?

You are amalgamating a lot of things here - firstly, you are putting countries with completely different political / religious set-ups together. Secondly, most of these countries in the ME have a very deep colonial past and / or suffered incredible atrocities because of our greed and religious righteousness (mainly) - countries like Syria and Iraq were actually secular not 30 years ago. Thirdly, you are assuming there is no feminist movement in these countries - which is false.

Yes! And that's why the entire feminist population in the United States needs to move to those regions that we've messed up - they were already messed up but we helped the mess - and instill in the young men who treat women like cattle, to see those women and to treat them as well and as proper as the majority of the dudes in America and Europe treat women.

I remember going to parties and crashing with girls who were drunk alone on the couch, and I've known many more western men who've done the same, without even having a thought of hurting the girl crossing our minds. Ya think Muslim women would ever do this in their home Countries?

Why? Because societies that are patrhiarchal are pretty much awful in theit treatment of women and girls, and that's why feminism needs to be transplanted from the seat of western democracy and moved to the heart of Islam/Africa/South America/india(really, most Countries outside of europe, canada and the USA are extremely awful for women) and change it once and for all.

I am aware that their culture is different and all that, but culture is no excuse for the slaughter and rape and the selling off of millions of young women.

Thirdly, you are assuming there is no feminist movement in these countries - which is false.

British woman killed fighting for all-female Kurdish militia in Syria

A British woman killed fighting with an all-female Kurdish militia in Syria has been hailed as “incredibly principled, brave, determined and committed” by her devastated father.

Anna Campbell is believed to have been killed by a Turkish air strike in Afrin on 15 March, days before the city was seized by Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s forces.

There are feminists in those Countries fighting for the liberation of women, but it's not enough. We need to stop talking about manscaping and start talking about how to free the hundreds of millions of Muslim and Hindu women who are seen by their govt's, religious leaders, brothers, rapists aka husbands, as nothing more than sex slaves and personal incubators.

If anything, in the social circles I travel in, it is men having issues not being able to find women...not the other way around

And as I said, the early middle aged women I know are having incredible difficulties with finding a man for a relationship. Even in the younger crowd, the real men are walking away and looking elsewhere.

Not talking about dating and casual sex, but long term partners.

That might have something to do with the fact that there are more men dying off in their middle-years than women, and lots not being suited for a relationship because of the extreme emotional baggage and bittereness they have with women?

Yeah, I'm having a hard time figuring that one out because amongst young men and middle-aged men in their 30s and up it's men who want women a lot more than women want men, but alright. You see this pattern of men desiring women - for relationships - more than women want men in every region of the world.

Hey bro, do you know why the Iranian women are the most college-educated young women in the world? Because for as long as they're studying they can convince their fathers to not sell them off to a potential husband. It's pretty sad.

Interesting.

As I don’t know any woman with a lack of options.

I really don’t know ANY single women. They’re all married or in long term relationships (with plenty of “beta male cling on circle”)

I'm actually in contact with a womans rights group in one of these countries, and will be volunteering with them.

They want rights for women, but are not interested in other aspects of western life. Family and sexuality are regarded as something different on other parts of the world. Nothing to do with new wave feminism in that regard.

Cultural differences are totally fine, though we'll see what they aspire to once they achieve that first step.

'feminism' does mean you want things to change just for yourself; it means helping those who feel prejudiced. That will differ from culture to culture, from country to country.

It's not 'feminism' you have a problem with - it's the culture in which you live. This, not feminism, is what you need to.address imo.

Yes it is sad. But if you feel for them, you've got to do something about it. I've traveled a fair bit, and seen women treated very badly. So I'm going to volunteer a bit of my time and do something about it.

And if I had a choice between a beautiful woman and helping those less fortunate women, I'd choose the latter.

Its not just the sex that insecure men want, its the feeling of someone to make it ok. Like mommy. They'll deny it, but behind the insecure guy that's usually what's lurking.

If a man doesn't recognize that the mission is more important than sex, relationship, then he is not a man to be trusted.

I'd suggest that one reason for rising male suicide, is lack of purpose.

.

I have seen it. They don't want to wait too late to have kids, they want their babies to be as healthy as possible. They recognize that they have to act within a certain time, and plan for it as an adult. Casual dating is of less interest to them, than having a family.

And to be honest, the way women present themselves in South America, Eastern Europe is deeply refreshing and alluring.

We're missing femininity in western society.

That's awesome of you. People take all of the advantages that we have in our amazing western for granted, not knowing that millions of men and women toiled and suffered and died so that we could be this free.

And if I had a choice between a beautiful woman and helping those less fortunate women, I'd choose the latter.

Beauty doesn't make a woman immune to being less fortune. I once met a gorgeous young Indian girl who wasn't yet 19, and she was dead-scared of her father killing her in a honour-killing because of what she did years ago(had sex with her boyfriend).

Guys get scott-free and don't have to deal with the consequences of their acts, but women gotta put up with it all. Not only that but she has been fighting her father on and off for 10 years because he's been wanting to sell her off in an arranged marriage contract to a rich kid.

Man, I feel so powerless about all of this. All of this talk about Male Power and how white men(alright, I got muslim blood in me from centuries ago but still) rule the world, but I can't save these women despite how much I've fallen in love with them.

Its not just the sex that insecure men want, its the feeling of someone to make it ok. Like mommy. They'll deny it, but behind the insecure guy that's usually what's lurking.

Women don't want tobe a guy's mommy. You ever thought that one of the reasons why late teens and early 20s women aren't keen on settling down and getting married as soon as college is done and over with is because guys their own age for the most part are way too childish, and just want to have fun and sleep with as many girls as possible?

If a man doesn't recognize that the mission is more important than sex, relationship, then he is not a man to be trusted.

I'd suggest that one reason for rising male suicide, is lack of purpose.

Probably due to low self-esteem, depression, insecurity, anxiety and other issues.
