Did you date other people while you're an other woman? And am I an other woman?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I have contemplated this. If I wanted to start dating some time. Right now I am not really into relationships. I consider myself single. But some time I want a boyfriend or something down the line. In the case Idk if I would stop hooking up with her by then or not. I am right now 19 and I am basically friends with benefits with a married woman in her mid 30's Idk if that really makes me an ow or not. But more than anything don't know how that would be dating while fwb etc with dating I mean when you're exclusive of course that would have to be cut off but still idk if I'd want the possible drama it could cause. So did you date other people when you were an ow? And would I be considered the other woman even if I don't see myself in a relationship with her I mean she logically has a husband that imo who she's in a relationship and I don't really have the effort feelings for her or time to put into a relationship with her it wouldn't make sense to me. Anyway advice would be helpful thanks.

Since the person you're fooling around with is married to a man I would not consider you the OW. The term OW implies that there is a primary woman (the wife) and a secondary woman (the other woman). In this case I would call you the AP (affair partner)

First, let's get the terminology right... You are not FWB. That term denotes two single people who are having sex, while not in a relationship. This woman is married - which means that she, and you, are most definitely having an affair. People will sometimes try to use the term FWB because it is more socially acceptable. But, it is not an accurate or appropriate description of your situation.

Why are you having sex with a married woman? If you want to date, why are you not dating other people closer to your own age, who are available to date and have a relationship? You are far too young to be wasting your time on a dead end relationship.

That's fine.

If you just want sex, there are many single people with whom you can hook-up and have sex. Why are you having an affair with a married woman?

It's very easy to find a single person for a FWB ...NSA relationship with.

When a married person has sex with anyone else...it's an affair.

You're an other something because she's married. Affair partner, whatever. But yes, it would be foolish of you to stop dating when you're simply having sex with a cheating married woman. Try to find something less complicated.
