flabby stomach and jiggly thighs

Recommended Posts

My stomach is totally flabby after the birth of my daughter. All my fat is either going to the tummy region or the thighs. I'm sick of this. I run on the treadmill for 1 hr 6 days a week and i'm just starting to get discouraged. i've been doing this for 1 yr already and the flab just doesn't go away. However, my pants are loose and my chest size has gone down. This is entirely pathetic ! Help me someone !

from what i understand, a treadmill is good for losing general weight and even sometimes toning lower legs, but does nothing for flab.

maybe try some different exercises that focus on your problem areas, not just the treadmill...

and i hate to tell you this, but many, many people do not lose the excess fat around their middles from pregnancy because the skin loosened, and even if the fat is gone, the excess skin still remains "flabby."

don't get discouraged though, seriously. there are lots of things you can try to do before giving up hope.

have you googled any post-pregnancy weight-loss support websites? these women probably have the same if not similar complaints, and may have found a solution.

good luck!

Add more variety. Doing the same thing everyday will lose it's effect.

Consider adding strength/weight training a couple times a week. You need to build some muscle in order to burn fat. Do upper one day, lower another day.

Try swimming. It's low impact but you get a full body work out. Plus I think the nice cool water feels good when you're working out hard.

Like I said, if you mix it up I think you will find that you have better results.

Don't let the propaganda fool you! Just because society tells you this is not attractive doesn't mean it's not. Big breasts are soft and jiggly and no one complains! Why are other parts of the body considered any different. I love the way jiggly thighs move around and the way they feel is soft and decadent. To each his own I suppose...

Try changing up your routine such as instead of doing the treadmill all the time do some cardio that burns alot of calories the best way to tone your stmach muscles is lots of abs i use a exercise ball to do mine and doesn't hurt your neck or back and put pressure damaging your back and neck love the medicine ball and you can do alot on the exercise ball such as squats too .. i thought i would neve lose my belly from my daughter but i did and you sometimes have to shock your body by not doing the same things everyday !! I do things such as pilates ,yoga tai chi and aeorobics it has worked wonders and so impressed !! Love to exercise gives me agod feeling and relieves stress !!! Did you know that sex also burns calories too!!!:lmao:
