Masochists in Relationships?

Recommended Posts

Approximately less than 5% of the population are masochists. Can a masochist really benefit from relationship advice on this board since most of the advice is given under the assumption that people don't get off from being in pain or being abused?

A specific example would be the no contact rule that is constantly preached on the boards when someone gets dumped. I don't think that masochists can benefit from following a no contact rule because they may not really want to heal from a breakup.

So maybe a masochist reading the advice here should just do the exact opposite of everything they read? The exact opppsite would apply to them since they are rare breeds. In other words if you are a masochist go ahead and contact your ex.

If you find this board doesn’t suit your masochist bent, I suggest you find a kink page to post on.

Or I could just do the exact opposite of what the general consensus members recommend. I can do both. Keep membership here and post on a kink board on the side.

I kind of already implement the exact opposite of advice when I google search for advice on many other forums.
