Finding dates from Dating websites

ok i get 9 matches with the parameters you gave (30-40) , location Connecticut.

I get a completely different set of females which I suspect are mostly fake. I am with Match international which should be in business but anyway

WOW! Would you mind giving me a zip code in OZ and I'll see what I get. As an I/T guy, this 'smells' to me like different databases. But different locations may be 'in play' as well.

Well a fake profile usually has 1 photo and a short rambling description. This makes up 90% of the girls

I get a lot of fake likes from early 30 women with their email in the photo... their profile says - "Not a paying member so email"... blah blah...

I don't think I have come across many other "fakes" unless I assume the ones that don't answer back are fake.

I used to see a lot of those on POF when I was checking the daily new members page. They were 'entertaining' in a advertisement for phone sex kind of way. They would disappear pretty quickly so I assume that the mission whatever minimal 'support staff' POF had included deleting such accounts. Not all that different from the mods here having to delete the postings with links to male 'performance enhancement products'.

It was pretty easy to spot on my end...

51 year old getting likes from hot 31 year old "never married" is pretty obvious.

I would probably have to boost my income significantly to make that work..

we dont have zip codes but postcodes. 3000 or 2000 are the 2 big cities.

We dont have the put zip codes in filters but locations. The OZ girls are pure fake and its from match_international.com not match.com which are supported by different people as i reported this issue already.

I wouldnt mind uploading what results I get to compare them to yours but I am concerned about privacy issues.

I am 48 and I want to find real girls. How do I filter out the fakes? I have got success on other dating websites before.

At 48 you need to be dating women, not girls.

Stop using websites as your only method of meeting people. The sites have been corrupted. They promise easy but they are just really depressing.

If have a distance range 5000 from any city in USA, have 1 filter of girls the same ethnicity as myself I get about 600 girls come up. In a country of 000 million that doesnt seem to be that many if this is the biggest site. Am i doing somthing wrong? The age is 25-45

That distance range is unworkable. Pair it down to 50 miles. You really want quality over quantity. Granted when it comes to OLD I'm a hater but if I looked on some guy's profile & it said his geography choice was the whole world, I'd be turned off.

At 48 your age range needs to be 35 to 55/58 . . . 10 years on either side of your own age. Mature women who see that you want somebody young enough to be your daughter will write you off as an ageist cad in heartbeat.

The scammers all see your parameters & assume you are a lonely sad sack who can be easily duped. . . hence you are attracting them.

OLD should only be one tool in your search. Add at least 2-3 in person singles type events or at least opportunities where you can meet people not counting just going out to a bar per month, more if you can. I did about 1 per week when I was single.

Sorry if I missed that very important detail. I think it's clear we're talking about two sites whose names just happen to be similar. It is my understanding that the company that operates the match.com that I'm familiar with also operates MANY other dating sites. Any observations or recommendations I have are specific to the sites I use. match_international.com is not one I use. Good luck, dude.

Note: According to wikipedia, 'Match Group, Inc. is an American Internet company that owns and operates several online dating web sites including OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, Tinder, and Match.com. '

From https://www.match.com/international/ 'Please note: Use of Match.com international sites requires a separate membership on the International Match.com network.'

So, apparently the same 'business', but a different site. Again, what I know about match.com will NOT apply in OZ.

OP, I'm still 'drilling' ... is the URL you use au.match.com by any chance?

There is matchInternational which I am on and Match.com usa which is what you all use. I cant switch to the USA db. Match International is a complete scam whic access USA cities as well but again I bet they are from match international 'fake' profiles. Unless I can get on match.com usa its a waste of money

I think the idea of meeting women on websites alone is dumb. Its even dumber to assume this is the case though.

The fact remains this match.com international is a pure fraud

Apparent fake that may be 'on topic' just as an anecdote (y'all KNOW I LOVE anecdotes about OLD)....

I check match.com and POF just about daily because I don't want to miss 'it' if a 'needle in a haystack'/unicorn suddenly briefly appears. I call the photo in the search list 'click bait'. So today great click bait suddenly appeared on POF. IF the photos are real (heh) this woman is Christie-Brlinkley-class 'well preserved' (Christie is my gold standard for an 'older woman' who has kept her appearance 'up'. In an earlier time, it would have been Jane Fonda.) So I figure, as usual, 'you gotta be in it to win it' and send a message. She responds FIVE MINUTES LATER with ... are you ready ... 'No problem'. Given the exceptionally young looking photo for a claimed 62 y/o, my first message had been a thinly veiled 'call her bluff' (this game playing is actually part of why I find OLD freaking FUN even when it doesn't result in a date). So I call her bluff back: I offer a meeting TOMORROW and an alternative phone chat and close with ''That would be 'no problem' for me.'' An hour later and no second reply from her. Over/under on a fake? LOL

i cant check match.com as i get rerouted to match-international.com. I get fakes thrown at me all the time. The place names are even wrong in the search and everyone is a supermodel. I kind of had fun skyping these women daily . Always the same story with technical issues on skype . Funny how all of these women have their camera broken on there phone.. Anyway enough said , I need to get on match.com or else I just wasted my money
