Crush said he likes me and still plays hard to get

I'm in college and this guy who I have been seeing on and off for the past 5 months just recently told me he has feelings for me. I always liked him, but he used to always say he didn't want anything serious, so I finally backed off after a while and then we rekindled and he told me he likes me:confused: Anyway, he snaps me everyday and sends his streak and sometimes he will reply to my reply but not too much. I took him to my date party for my sorority and we hang out with his friends too. He's two years older than me and in the army so maybe he's not trying to commit. I don't think he's a big romantic type and I'm scared to ask him these types of questions because I don't want him to think I'm too much. Am I being unreasonable? How should I go about this without having a huge serious talk with him to figure out what is going on?

Hi Confussled, he's not playing hard to get. He's actually been really straight forward with his approach: he told you that he's not looking for anything serious, and his behaviour reflects this. He enjoys your company and is with you for a fun time, not a long time.

 

I would also assume that he's open to seeing others, so if you're having sex, be careful.
