I've been corresponding with a girl on line for several months now. She lives several thousand miles away and so we have not yet met in person. But we have exchanged photos and gotten to know one becoming close.

 

I believe that I've fallen in love with this girl but I am questioning that because we've never met in person.

 

Is it possible to fall in love with someone who you have never met in person?

 

Or am I imagining things?

i think it depends...i think for some people it is entirely possible, while for me it would never happen.

 

i do know some people who have thought it was "love" but then upon meeting the person, the spark was gone, because it was mostly mystery and excitement that was the attraction.

 

this doesn't mean it cannot happen, however, i don't think you can fully understand whether you love someone or not until you are with them in every way, and this definitely includes physically.

I have fallen for people online in the past. And i can honestly say one of the people i had an online relationship with i think i truely loved. It was so strong, so real, eventho we never met. We were "together" for about 2 years. Thats something special and to this day i believe i loved him. Its possible to love somebody online. But i will admit this, i can not be sure that it would have been the same in person. Just keep that in mind, people are normally slightly different in person to online.

I think u can love someone without meeting them. My man and I feel for each other hard before we met. But it was a friendship love. I loved him for the person he was. I wasnt "In love" with him till after we met and shared a number of experiences together. I think if things didnt go to well when we met, i would have still loved him as a friend as he is a great person, lucky for me we clicked so well together in person, its strange to think how it all came together, but something i am glad i opened my life up to.
