How does the spouse really feel about your ex's

Recommended Posts

My wife comes first and if it was problem with her for even me to go I wouldn't. But this is some one I have known all my life and I enjoy having her as a friend. But I think my wife knows this and wouldn't tell me if she was uncomfortable about it. Just trying to be sensitive to her feelings.

But hopefully she's secure enough to know and trust that nothing will happen with the friend so she won't ask you not to see her.

As long as once in a while the spouse is included, it's fine! I wouldn't like it if my husband told me I couldn't be friends with a guy I've known for a long time and grew up with because he didn't want me to. He'd have to have a very valid reason...Other than the obvious, that one of both of them have thought of me sexually. I think once ya get past that, it is alright.

I have 2 male friends I've known all my life. My husband knows them and he's OK with me hanging out with them too. I know their wives.

Now ex's, it depends on how it ended and the type of person the ex is. Each is different. I socialize with my ex's at all. Once in awhile I get a phone call, but that's about it.

As long as you keep looking at eachother more like bro/sis (though guys can rarely do that) the

Just returned from lunch and it seemed to go pretty smoothly. The wife and ex talked more than I did. Such is the case when two talkative women get together though. Then the big news, the ex just filed for divorce. So my once upon a time married, long time friend and not viewed as a threat is now going to be single. Problem, I don't think so but now I am even more concerned with what my wife thinks of our friendship if she is going to be single.

She lives in Vegas and rarely in town so not like it is going to come up very often so I'm just not going to worry about it.

Let me reminder you TUDOR, what I stated earlier:

"Friendships" between men and women are not a good idea TUDOR. This will eventually come back to bite you in the a$$.

I think it's you who are worried. You desire this friend, hence the whole hassle about it. You would gladly jump her.

Don't get me wrong this friend is an extremely attractive women and sure I am attracted to her. But like I said I had taste of that pie and it wasn't that good. Every person has there worst ranked sex experience and one of mine was with her. So as attractive as she is I know what to expect and wouldn't jump! Any way that is why I make sure the wife is always there, I know I'm not perfect but I take the option out of play by having her there.

That he is going to cheat? Or she would cheat? Just because the spouse is having lunch with an ex, doesn't mean they'll end up in the sack. Yeah yeah yeah, before I get jumped on here, there obviously are cases that old feelings get stirred up and/or sexual chemistry...But one would hope that the ring on the finger would be a reminder ... THOU shall not stick the dick in anybody else other than your wife... or THOU shall not receive a dipstick in hole! You know what I'm gettin' at...

PS This isn't directed at anybody inparticular, just making a point.
