Get a man. Or a dog...? No, man, I still say get a man. Keeps you warm ;-)

I'm independent but men are needed!

Reminds me of the Carrie Underwood song, “The More Boys I Meet, the More I Love My Dog...” ;)

When I was single and lived too far from my family to travel for holidays, I’d have my friends over and we would do friend holidays. Even if we weren’t religiously into them.

Atheist here....

Does Canada really shut down for the whole Easter weekend?

Besides, what does chocolate, chicken eggs and bunny rabbits have to do with Jesus? Its a celebration of spring really.

Yeah, I wish they would have their "spring day" on another day. Easter is supposed to be a holy holiday.

l suppose 6mths of ice cold might be pushing it, doesn't get that cold here , just a bit blowy and wet through the winter.

But l love hibernating through winter, love it, sick of summer by then even back when l was single .

But if it's any consolation , we're just lolling round the house all easter too even as a couple. weathers not bad but had a hard few weeks, need the chill time seriously.

Pretty sure the “spring day” came about long before Christianity.

Same with winter solice became Jesus birthday celebration.

These are ANCIENT as in “BC” celebrations that got rebranded with the growth of Christianity.

I am not religious but just enjoy the day off. Our neighbors make great stuffed cabbage every easter and they always make sure to invite us over for some. Also for some reason the Reeses on easter or the best tasting Reeses you can buy. Put some of those chocolate eggs in the fridge and it is the best candy around.

I like to eat lunch out frequently and restaurants are mostly open except on Christmas Day, but I don't like to go to restaurants on holidays because there's so many families and kids there, so it's hectic. So that's why the casino is a good place to go. It's all adults, but a little more crowded on holidays. No kid germs on the buffet though.
