TUDOR
Approaching can be more simple than you think. Guys notice when a women is looking there way and if they aren't they still pay attention to what they are checking out if not them. So make it a point to make eye contact with the guys you are interested in and not your youngguns. Guys are shy too and often will look for a sign that it is ok to approach you and that can be as simple as eye contact and a smile. Just pay attention to whom you are directing those eyes and smile to.

Author JS17
By the way happy belated birthday! Which brings up a question, does the fact you just a had a birthday this past weekend have something to do with the age of your young suiters? Thanks It's something I've noticed for a long time. My friends call me the cradle robber because I always have gotten hit on by younger guys. (I only acted on it once ) But man, when I saw the shocked look on those kids faces at my party it kind of hit me that it must be me that was doing something unusual to attract younger men. Author JS17
Ok so here's what I've gotten from this thread. I basically have to change everything about my surface self. I need to change my hair, the way that I dress, the places that I go, and the directions in which I shoot out my smile. I don't want to lose myself but I am taking all of your suggestions seriously. I'll work on it. Special thanks to Art for giving me an excuse to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe

Special thanks to Art for giving me an excuse to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe I don't know that I agree with all that, except the direction of the smile since I said it in all. Nothing wrong with being who you are and dressing how you want. An attractive woman will have guys from 16 to 80 interested in them and there isn't much you can do about that. It all comes down to the vibes you give off when each different age group approaches you as to what you are willing to indulge in. But no body wants to met your made up representative only to find out later you really aren't that person. Just blow off the younger guys and keep sending out the positive vibes to the mature guys you do want but be yourself.
Author JS17
Be yourself. I know, that was kind of my point. Everyone is saying to change this and that but I have to be true to myself. Yes I should do things like give better signals and I can compromise and not wear jeans all the time but ultimately I am who I am and there's no point in doing all of these things suggested if it will make me unhappy. So I will take all of your advice and see what I feel I should change realisically.

You know Tudor, I'm not sure the 80 year olds could keep up with me I also never said I was attractive. I'm fairly average but I do alright for myself
NTB
hold the race here you don't need to change everything about yourself, i don't think you do anyway be you and the right guy will come along when you least expect it. no need in cutting hair, change dress code and all that. Jayhawks
JS, I think all you need to do to attract older men is make sure THEY know you have an interest. Some older men might think you wouldn't be interested because you look younger but if you center your interest on them, lots of eye contact and a smile, and let them know they can approach you the ball is in their court. You really don't have to change dress or hair just show interest and you should be good to go.

I'm fairly average but I do alright for myself Guess you have never had any experience with Viagra yet! You must have more going on than you give yourself credit for if you are attracting younger guys because they are normaly more shallow than an older man and focus more on what they see on the outside. Are you so attached to jeans that they are an integral part of your personality? Is it 'changing yourself' to dress for work? Anyway, as Dr. Phil says, you have to be in a 'target-rich environment' meaning if you want older guys, you have to go where they are. That's not 'changing yourself', it's just implementing stragegy. You know, I'm just not the kind of girl that would wear twinsets and loafers. I wouldn't feel comfortable. I dress how I dress for work because I have to and most of the time I feel like I'm playing dress up. Yes I can change what I wear at times but I'm not being me if I'm wearing a "costume". Also, Dr Phil annoys the crap out of me. I'm not a fan of games or strategies. I'm more of a "just be myself and if you don't like it then f@ck off kind of girl ".
