I actually feel this situation has made me confront head on just how much i've let my confidence be knocked over the last few years. Thinking back to the girl I was when i knew him I can really see the difference ...and I want to work on that, I want to get back some of who I was back then!

 

I am sure he is proud of you that you had the courage to leave and are successful etc.

He said that actually when I fist met him again. He was saying how well I'd done and I was shrugging it off, and he said "Kid, (He's always called me this) if you saw yourself the way everyone else sees you! You should be proud! I was proud to know you all those years ago, and I'm proud to know you now!"

I hope things went well. My ex from school stayed my friend for years after we grew up. Fifteen-ish years later, here we are. Married, with kids. Sometimes it takes a few years and some growing up before you're ready to be together.

It was..... It was lovely, canny, it was always going to be lovely! It felt like how we always felt. Like so much time has past but at the same time none at all, I feel like I could sit and talk to him for 100 hours and never run out of things to say, but we've always 'clicked' in that way!

 

I guess It's tough because, I do fancy him, and I can't deny that I do have feelings for him and Its hard becuase the more I open the door the more I could get really hurt here ......but I have to open the door! I don't want to just spring on him that I like him without giving him a chance to get to know me all over and time to decide if he likes me now
