SumGuy
If you click on the match that pops up so you can get to the profile page of the match you can get the last activity status thingy. Just tried it, I didn't see the color code just a text descriptor that said last active x hours ago. Granted it's better with the graphical display of info right up front. Author nospam99
Something new today from OKC. 'Intros' .... Apparently all it is is the list of the people who sent you messages but that you didn't 'Like'. For free they let you see ONE (for me, a woman who I've met socially IRL outside an OLD context and have no interest in). And ask you to 'upgrade' (BUY their premium feature) the function to see the rest. Been there, done that, only to discover that 95% of the women who 'Liked' me were of no interest, with 75% superficially appearing to be scammers. On top of that, if there's a way to send an email to a support team to ask a question or complain, I can't find it in the User Interface. OKC used to have some possibility to be useful. I happened to start using it in late '17 just before they changed to restrict messaging and the ability to so much as see the messages you've sent. So at least I have a little experience with it when it 'worked'. FWIW I even met a nice woman during the six weeks that I was there before they changed the way messaging worked. As always with any OLD site (or dating in general), YMMV based on your local and personal demographics.

Mea culpa for getting sucked in to giving them a few more $. Sour grapes, cheapskate. What do you expect for free, anyway? OLD sites are businesses first and foremost. Many offer some free services in hopes you will pay for full access. I've had enough successes on OKC free version to continue. However, your $20 taught you a valuable lesson: few women are truly interested in you or a good match. Two or three in a hundred such contacts are at all worthwhile, in my experience. The good thing about OKC is that it really cuts down on the scammers and fakes, far better than other sites, so in my opinion, OKC is one of the most effective for finding real people who could be good matches. Try mingle2 if you really want to experience ubiquitous fakes, scammers, gold-diggers, and blatant hookers. Two or three percent are real, local women - and of course, only a few percent of those may be good matches.
Author nospam99
@central. I expect OKC to 'live' on the annoying advertising and on selling my personal data and web history. Advertising is good enough for broadcast TV, broadcast radio, Facebook, youtube, google AND Plenty of Fish. Selling personal data generates extra income for Facebook, youtube, google and PoF. Oh, and PoF, a direct competitor to OKC, has free messaging, free full access to your message history, better search functions than OKC (Search, Chemistry, UltraMatch), and, in my experience, fewer scammers than the 75% I saw when I paid to see my 100+ Likes (currently back up to 86). It doesn't mean I'm a fan of PoF either. I've had my best, albeit VERY limited even there, 'success' with Match.com. Gratz that you've had enough success with free OKC to continue. Me too. My point in posting today was to report the 'Intros' feature as a 'new' development.
central
I used match (for many years, since it first began in 1995), and PoF as well. Match was highly successful for me. PoF produced the poorest results, despite a better free feature set than OKC. Years ago PoF put limits on whom you could contact, as I recall. I used each a little differently, depending on their features and limitations. I don't like what OKC did a while back to limit who you could contact, but it made the site far safer and friendlier for women, which is a good thing.
