Breakup Fitness Motivation

Recommended Posts

Today I’m in Anger mode and I need an outlet. I like the gym for this purpose....any ladies or gents into fitness?

I would like to propose a 30 day fitness challenge to expel some rage!! Lol

How about the SUmmer Breakup Body starting tomorrow the 1st?

I figure I need to get back out there anyway so this is perfect motivation!!

I’m done posting about MM...it’s all about ME now...

Hey, I’m not going through a breakup, but a fitness challenge seems like something I need right now. So I’m down to start that tomorrow with you ;).

P.S. Good for you, focusing on you and not your xMM

I'm not in the break up category either. It was the opposite for me.... I divorced and due to unable to eat, I lost a lot of weight and became horribly underweight. I've put back all that weight and then some now that i am happy again, so I need to get back in the gym..

Btw, my trainer used to make me do medicine balls slams to help all that agression. I had people come up to me in the gym and say, "after watching all of that, you scare me." Ha!

Woooohoooo!!! Let’s do it!!!

Start date is Aug 1st... until Sep 1st..

Goal ..work out every day..either cardio or weights. Whatever you choose .

I’m going to do 3 days cardio and 3 days weights. One day off. It just works better for me. Just post every day after you workout for accountability .

Also post your goals...and see where you are in 30 days.

@Hope! This is great! Exactly what everyone needs on here!

I'm in and great way to spin this logic. You are in the right road to recovery! :)

@NW ..,thank you.

I think we get so stuck in our own heads about this crap that we really need this ... even better with people with like minds and with the same goal . Helps get through the NC phase too...this board. Fitness and work. Being healthy will keep many of us from going backward. I hope!! :D

Hope this is really good stuff.

I will say this, until you hit the off switch in your mind all efforts are tenuous at best, distractions, once you've mentally shut out the possibility it becomes much easier, until then use whatever it takes to make yourself your priority.

Well done Hope! I will happily join. Exercise and being outdoors makes me my happiest.

I agree with DKT3....flip that switch. It is a game changer!!

I think I’m turning off the switch...it’s only been 24 hours . I know it’s going to get harder and I really need a reprieve . We all do . As long as I’m busy I think I’ll be OK . I want this thread to be about us not the MM. it’s about our accomplishments and our goals .

Yeeeessss!!! I started logging all my food and beverage intake last Friday on MyFitnessPal.com with plans to start cardio...then saw this thread!

Not to take away from LS, but care to start an LS group on MyFitnessPal.com or its app? There we can share individual stats and track progress for extra accountability...log meals, workouts, water intake, etc.

Hope, I’m really happy for you, there’s no greater revenge than looking good and feeling good. I’m not planning to go back to the gym until September when my kids start school again but I miss it. Back in late February when MM broke up with me I literally couldn’t eat for weeks. I lost 20 pounds, that was the last of the baby weight from having my daughter 5 years again. The pounds have stayed off and everyone’s been telling me how great I look, meanwhile MM gained weight and he looks downright awful. There was a silver lining in all this lol. Good luck, keep us posted!

I hadn't because I wasn't sure the interest level, but you plus me equals two people, and that's a group right? ? Do you already have a MyFitnessPal screen name I can use to add you? Or maybe I just make a group for whomever wants to join? I'll look into it and post back here.
