whether you divorce or not, please decide soon. it is incredibly cruel to leave your wife in limbo without her even knowing she's there.

 

If you want out of your marriage, you need to earn it, especially as you say you have been engaging in some unethical behavior.

 

 

 

In your shoes, I would sit my wife down and tell her everything. All of it. She's a big girl, and mental illness or not, she won't break. Tell her you've been having an affair and that you simply are not happy with her any more.

 

Then own your decision.

Your question to yourself is: "What would make my heart sing?" If you make a decision to leave, take your daughter aside and talk to her. That's for another story.

Whatever the OP decides will impact others, and in this situation, his daughter is the top priority. Even when it's for good reasons and the spouses get along, divorce can still be a hard road for the kids, no matter their age.

I guess the problem with this situation, it is to easy to find someone new, sort of like getting a new car when the other breaks down sometimes.

If someone is that unhappy with their marriage, PLEASE talk to your spouse and if you can’t work it out, be truthful and then divorce, don’t find an A before you leave. I’m sorry but that is taking the easy way out, you at least won’t be going through this by yourself like your spouse.

Does anyone remember the part of the marriage ceremony, in sickness and health till death do us part. 

I am going through something similar with my husband asking for divorce, of course not seeing anyone, even after finding phone calls and purchases for flowers and jewelry, but wasn’t affair because hadn’t had sex yet. That made me feel so much better.
