So let me give you all some background info..

I’m 30 years old & the acquaintance I’m mentioning is 59 years old..

I met her when I was 16 or 17 and she’d let me and my friends come over to her house to party and drink... I met her at my first job

Fast forward, I have 2 jobs & usually am extremely busy..

Here recently, this woman texted me as soon as I left from visiting her home... I didn’t respond so she texted me upteenth times in a 2 week period (as well as called me numerous times w/o a response) about mundane things just to get my attention. She does not seem to comprehend or pick up on boundaries I’ve established..

Her background.. she doesn’t work however she does have a adult child and grandkids and claims to have many friends..

What should I do? It is beyond irritating.. i think she genuinely has a good heart just doesn’t catch hints or respect boundaries

Ever thought about just telling her next time you're together, I don't like texting very much. Can we just save it for when we get together and then catch up?

Talk her you appreciate the thought, but you will get back to her when you can. She should understand.

So I’ve told her plenty of times I prefer not to text and not always near my phone & then she says “well, if a person does not understand you work 2 jobs then that’s their problem” however it’s like she doesn’t practice what she preaches & continues to constantly text & call even though I almost never respond. Nope, she doesn’t contact my other friends... and my best friend told me that she never gave her a phone # to contact her at & does not have her on social media... in which I made sure to not have her own my social media anymore because she commented on EVERYTHING I posted
