basscatcher
THAT WAS ME WHO SAID THAT! Geeze I'm the one who spoke about MRSA (superbugs). My dad has it and it can be contagious!!!!!!!!!!
littlekitty
If you're coughing up green, you could be getting bronchitis. If it's any sort of red, SEE THE DOCTOR!!! It could be pneumonia or a serious infection. Very true. Many people don't realise how easily you can get pneumonia. I nearly died from double pneumonia at 20 yrs. All it requires is a primary infection such as a cold, or food poisioning and you could easily get a secondary infection such as pneumonia once your immune system is weakened. Always check with your doctor regarding this type of illness.
Outcast
It's not 'nasal drops', it's Flonase which is a steroid spray that's used to clear up sinus infections and she should use it as long as her physician told her to. How do I know this? Because I have had it prescribed before. It's not really 'nasal spray' but rather medication delivered nasally. BTW, WWIU, you have to tilt your head just right when you sniff it up your schnoz. If it runs down your throat, you've done it wrong. The doc probably told you but you sort of have to tip your head a little forward so it goes up into the sinuses. Once you've done it right you'll get how it's supposed to feel. Cripes. Really LS should ban medical questions. One of these days, some LSer will kill some poor goof who follows their incorrect medical advice.

Agreed. I told my doctor once that I had been using over the counter nasal spray because of a cold and she told me to stop because they are addictive. Then, because I had allergies, she prescribed Flonase. I asked if Flonase was addictive, and she said no, it's a totally different drug, and she had me use it all spring. When the pollen season was over, I stopped the Flonase, and had 0 problems. Hope you feel better!!

RecordProducer
When we talk about nasal drops, we mean a medication you use to unplug your nose. All my doctors have told me to not use any of them for longer than 3 days when I am sick. Nasal drops for allergies are different. My mom has a huge problem with it and her doctor prescibed her to spray panthenol in a liquid state to help theskin regenerate. When they say nasal drops are addicitve, they mean the nose continues to be stuffed and then you need them every day while they are destroying the skin. It's not the type of addiction as for heroin or cocain.
Author whichwayisup
These antibotics have given me the worst smelling gas. (Yes, I eat before taking 'em) My poor hubby is gonna be pleased tonight...I give him less than 5 minutes before he heads to spare bedroom! I've actually told him, "Babe, you've got a special thing coming to you later..." He just smiled. I think he thinks it's sex. Boy, is he ever wrong!

Jayhawks
He actually said to me this "How could something so f**k'n smelly and disgusting come out of you!" I have made this reference to people myself. I say something like, "What crawled up inside you and died?" Tell him he can enjoy your p farts as well as the stinky ones this weekend. I'm sure he can't wait to be with you.

Ha, I'm far from rich. Just have a good healthcare system, that's all. It used to cost like 6 bucks, would show up on your phone bill, but last year they changed it and it's covered under Ohip. I hate being sick and I make the worst patient ever. People think men are bad, well, I make men look normal when I'm feeling yukky.

I'm glad you are feeling better now too. I have been traveling a lot and feel like I am coming down with something now It seems like I catch something everytime I go on an airplane and I have to go on another one tomorrow night...
