basil67
Yea, 1960's, 1st wave feminism. It is the 2nd and 3rd wave that were really toxic. Even when you hear women talk about liking feminism and you listen to what they describe,...they describe the benefits of 1st wave feminism just as BluEyeL did. It had not been hijacked by Marxism by then. I take it you concede that married women were in fact prevented from working? Next thing: 1st wave feminism were the suffragettes who fought for the right to vote. 2nd wave is the 1960's who were more about working and reproductive rights. Third wave is now and it's about consent. If you're going to get cranky about feminism, at least get your facts right.
BluEyeL
I never stated anything about being traditional on my dating profile, just talked in a normal way about my interests and likes. However, my pictures were definitely more "traditional" than the average woman's.... This is exactly what I was saying. No big announcement. Yes, I did online dating for 18 months and I met my husband on match. My profile had my likes, was exclusively positive (didn’t say what I don’t like etc) and that I’m looking for a kind man to be my partner in life . I think that is pretty conservative. I attracted some jerks too but that’s online dating for you. Eastern European men aren’t too great either but they do some things that are a given. In my country, they always carry all luggage , offer the coat, take your hand when you step off a bus , pay for meals etc . But then they also expect to be waited on hand and foot and have some Misogynistic views. In any case, I believe you need a good hearted man , who is stable emotionally and financially and he will make it his business to be supportive. I believe you can find them in any country it’s just that they are a bit harder to find online because it’s so much trash there. Gaeta
@Lorenza.... Those stories are terrible! I got into watching a couple of Norway series on Netflix and it's not how they portray themselves. Edited September 13, 2019 by a LoveShack.org Moderator

The STD's are really prominent here!

LuckyM
This is the most refreshing message I have read in a long long time. And this is the third time I have written this because the computer abruptly messes it up. Some men over 40 or 45 are more likely to be less feminist in thinking than younger ones because they might be more traditional. So you might find them in traditional places like church and conservative clubs. Nothing wrong with a man paying for stuff, but if you tell dates not to pay, they will pay anyway because it looks cheap not to. Wish more women felt the way you do.
Author Lorenza
I'm moving back to my home country in January.. not only because of better possibilities to find committed love, it's been a decision in progress since 2016. But yeah, hopefully I will find a good and caring "old-fashioned" guy there too

snowboy91
Oh God, what they have a list of rules, no wonder your miserable op. On the flip side, a Swede might need their own list of rules if they wanted to date in America. Dating culture varies so much between countries, and it seems to be within context of broader cultural values.
