heartached
i don't understand why when we hurt why does it hurt in our hearts? why not in our butts so we can maybe sit on it and smother it out, or why not in our big toe so we can kick it out, or why not in our hair so we can pull it out? why does love hurt in our hearts, after all isn't our heart just a muscle, an organ, a blood filled life saving, pumping organ? so why then does our heart hurt? anyone know? Bobby Dygytul
It's because the heart is the part of us that is love. Our love comes from our hearts and when that love is lost, then our hearts has withdraw symtoms. Its just the way it is. It really sucks. But the good thing about being human, is it's never for good, it will heal eventually and you move on. Think of it as a step closer to finding the one true love that will last forever. i don't understand why when we hurt why does it hurt in our hearts? why not in our butts so we can maybe sit on it and smother it out, or why not in our big toe so we can kick it out, or why not in our hair so we can pull it out? why does love hurt in our hearts, after all isn't our heart just a muscle, an organ, a blood filled life saving, pumping organ? so why then does our heart hurt? anyone know? Tony T
I really hate to take all the romanticism out of hurt, but an aching heart is only a metaphor. The hurt we feel originates in several parts of the brain...and it stays there. As a matter of fact, our brain produces all emotional and physical pain. All messages from all parts of the body are transmitted to the brain and the message goes back to the different parts of the body so we will feel physical pain. But the brain produces the pain. Since emotional pain originates and remains in the brain, and since we are able to control our thoughts, if we learn how to make our brains work for us we can minimize the pain we feel. Yes, it would be nice if the pain originated in our butts. We could sit on the pain and smother it. But I don't think our creator had any idea the job we would do to our minds when he produced the human blueprint.
