Kay_3
Hey, so I like this girl for some time now. I am not sure if she likes me or not. But that doesn't matter for this question. For some reason, I am happy when I am with her but when I am not, I don't like her? If that makes any sense. For example, if I go out with her and we have fun, I like her and I think about possibly dating her but as soon as I leave her, I think stuff like "Oh that was so annoying. Why did she do that? I would have had as much fun with my best friend". Most of my friends also dislike her, not because they just hate her but because of legit reasons. If I would have to write a list about her positive and negative sides right now, I would probably write as many negative things as positive things. But still, if she would text me now and ask me to go over, I would go over, have fun, leave and then think something negative about the night. I don't know. It's weird. I know she isn't the girl I would wanna marry but I still like her. And I just can't let her go. Is it maybe the attention that I get from her that I like? The fact she might want me? I wanna get what I can't get? Has anyone experience something similar?
LivingWaterPlease
Wonder if your gut is telling you something? I've experienced that with two different platonic friends and haven't been able to figure it out except that my gut must be trying to tell me something. I don't really have a desire to spend time with them but when I visit with them I always have a good time and wonder why I wasn't interested in being with them. When I'm away from them I feel negative toward them. So yes, I know what you mean.
smackie9
You like her because she's attractive to you physically, but when she opens her mouth, her ugly personality comes through.
elaine567
You "like" her but does she "like" you in that way? If she doesn't, and you know she probably wouldn't date you, then you may be holding a bit of resentment against her.
preraph
There's lots of "out of sight out of mind" guys. It's about them being sexy to you in person, and therefore you're into it when you're with them. I would say if the thrill is gone once you're not looking at them, then you just like how they look but don't like them that much. Attraction shouldn't be the same thing as "liking." Author Kay_3
You "like" her but does she "like" you in that way? If she doesn't, and you know she probably wouldn't date you, then you may be holding a bit of resentment against her. That sounds like the best explanation but since a lot of people think we are dating, I do actually think that she likes me. It is just an overall feeling. Just the way she behaves and the way she acts sometimes makes me think about why I hung out with her in the first place. When we don't talk, I don't have any wish to go somewhere with her. But as soon as we text again, I am down to hang out with her. When I tell this my friends, they ask me why I would do that and hang out with her...
