You should not go out with me if you don’t love dogs

...and I personally dislike cats. I hate the way they sh*t in a box in the house, kick litter all over the floor and then climb up on your counters.

And heaven forbid you pet them wrong. OH YOU DID NOT JUST BITE ME CAT! :lmao:

Haha. I love cats. I love bad cats because they're so entertaining. Some of them are savages.

I understand the strong language on it because in online dating, people often disregard what it says and then those same people will get involved anyway and then try to get the person to get rid of the dog, wearing them about about You love the dog more than me.

Why yes. Yes, I do. Like Art Critic said, it's only a small portion of people who don't like them. So they need to just accept this is not acceptable to most dog owners and keep-a-movin'. In fact, that's what I might put on mine: I love dogs. If you don't, best keep-a-movin'.

D0nnivain yes in a perfect world but we're only humans. I dated a man once that yelled at my dog and pushed him off the couch.

I'd be tempted to call the Police on him -- the K9 Unit.

Wow, haha. I do seem to have stirred up serious considered debate, furrowed brows and raised pitch forks. I didn’t think this would get taken for the serious subject it isn’t :D

My post was indeed written in with tongue firmly in cheek. Lighthearted nothing more so don’t get too upset. I’m not a dog-lover- hater (is that a thing?)

One person mentioned I’m not a dog person, quite the contrary actually. As mentioned, I’ve had many a dog.

Seriously. Cats are badass mofos.

I'm all for people posting all their deal-breakers on dating sites - saves a HUGE amount of time.

If a guy posted, "You must love dogs and embrace my house and bed sheets smelling like dog at all times. If my dog wants to knock you over when you walk in, you'd better lay down and take it or you're OUT!", I'd happily move right on along so he and the next chick can roll around with the boss of the house in bed to their heart's content :)

Yes. Yes they are. So much ferocity and royalty in such an adorable beast.

I wish I had nine lives,

I bet it feels real nice.

Sitting in the sun

Letting the rays wash over me.

No one watching over me.

I do what I want.

Everything the light touches

It's where I will roam.

My roar would be so powerful

I would scare off everything.

I love dogs - but can't stand poorly behaved dogs and the people who fail to train them properly. Standing there hoping to be pet is not being "all over" someone.

.

Don't you love it when people tell you you don't love dogs, because you don't want an animal jumping all over you and licking your face.

I'm a cat person by far but I do love all animals and so does my husband. He's a bird lover, but loves to play with all his clients pets he encounters on jobs sites. He always talks about them when he gets home. Loving their pets scores big points with home owners. One offered up their African Grey, but unfortunately our home doesn't have the room for the cage and perches it came with :( Still talk about that bird lol

OP I guess you just stay positive and keep looking just like everyone else :)

My ex was a cat person and would low key hate on dogs and it seriously annoyed me so I can see it being an issue for others

^ There's some truth to that, but on the other hand What is the most important thing about most people? Even if were were "I love children," again, How interesting.

I agree. And I'd prefer someone who defines themselves with their love for dogs over a love for children. Kids scare the **** out of me, I've dodged that bullet and I would love to never have to again. On subject, I'd rather have a woman who defines herself by her career or hobbies than a woman who's defining quality is her love for a pet.

^ Yeah, I agree. I mean everyone is different. I would love it best if someone said they love animals, but my follow up question would be, What do you have, because I wouldn't want to live in a menagerie necessarily or with snakes and I'm allergic to cats, although I love them to pieces. The best answer I'd like to hear is "I play guitar and I have two dogs. I love to go out to eat, and I'm a moderate drinker." Of course, that's never exactly happened, so.....
