What is your online dating age range?

I'm 43. My sweet spot seems to be up to about 10 years older. I'd consider a little younger or older if we really clicked.

33 year old female here.

Never done online dating, and God willing my fiance doesn't kick the bucket for another 20-30 years, I never will.

But if I were ever actually reduced to giving online dating a try, my range would start at my age PLUS ten, all the way up to "I'm not dead yet!"

I always had a hunch that I should be looking at older men, but I didn't listen to it because the broad cultural message was that any older man who would want to be with me had to necessarily be some kinda creepy pedophile (anyone who perpetuates this lie should be ashamed of themselves), and boy did I learn my lesson. Men my own age are like babies. I would never consider one for partnership again in any format where stats and qualifications are published upfront for filtering purposes. If I were going to consider someone close to my own age, basically I'd have to have known them already for quite some time in order to assess from an objective standpoint that they actually have what it takes to lead a marriage and a family.

24 to 27 would be the lowest I would go. 54 to 57 would be the highest. The best for me at the moment to my 48 is 37 to 54 or so. Thats if I could control it.

I really don't want kids. If I am going to settle down with a woman. There is going to have to be some major insentive for me to do so. Like her and I both get Interesting conversations and laughs/Social and Recreational activities and lots of Physical Affection, out of each other.

I set my own birthdate so that it looks like I'm 90+ years old. That way, anyone who is shallow enough to filter by age won't see me.

I search profiles with no age filter at all. It's hard enough to find childless atheists.

When I was doing OLD, my age range settings on the apps were 10 years younger to 5 years older. I did have three dates with one guy who was 14 years younger. He was handsome and a great kisser but I realized we were in different life stages, to say the least. My now BF is six years younger, not a big gap. I have only had lasting relationships with younger men. I disagree that filtering for age is shallow. It depends on what one is looking for in terms of compatibility, health, the ability to relate to one another, etc. etc. Obviously that doesn’t mean a couple with a large age gap won’t work out.

I just turned 59 and would probably set range from 54-65, but then (knowing me) I would wonder if that range would filter out the perfect person for me, so I'd probably just leave the range unspecified and filter them out myself.

More important than the age range is the religious preference. I would make sure I put atheist (which would probably narrow my choices down to nearly nothing!) :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
