Should I take a job if it's only part time?

Recommended Posts

Take both the 8 hour and 25 hour?

Is Monday night the only night of the class, if not can you just miss it?

Of all professions and acting/directing teacher should understand the need for a "day job" and the demands thereof.

Just remember your parents when you hit it big :)

I agree with this^ Take both shifts . I know you hate your present job to the point it's crippling you mentally. Blow off the class. Where is that likely to take you anyway? Take another one that fits into your schedule some other time.

To me, anything is better than nothing, and it would have to be better than your current job. You can always stick around just long enough until you've found something better.

But I paid for the classes though, and after I am done, they work like an agency and get you gig opportunities. If I don't go, then I won't get those gigs from them I want in the future.

However, at my job today, my memory problem which I talked about on the other thread, got a lot worse, and all of a sudden I forgot all this stuff, and felt like I had some sort of mental breakdown. I was shaking the rest of the day and felt faint and lightheaded. So is taking a new job a good idea because of this? Maybe I need to get my mental competence and coherence back first before applying for new jobs?

Plus this is why I thought about moving to a different city that has more job opportunities, but people say I shouldn't as that will just make things more complicated. But where are all the good jobs? People say just take online classes instead, but they don't offer online. Where do other people find these online classes. I feel like I keep doing things wrong.

That's why they have it on monday night I guess, cause they feel the need fo ra day job. However, the job I was interested in applying for, wants me to work monday night, the only day of the classes.

Since you paid for the class and the place works like an agency and will send you on auditions, I think you need to finish the class. If you quit it just to focus on keeping a job that makes you so miserable that you have anxiety attacks that mess with your memory momentarily, I think you'd be making a huge mistake.

There are better jobs out there. You already live at home, so you have security as far as food and shelter. Quit this horrible job and take that other part-time job, and finish your Monday night class. That's what I would do if i were in your shoes.

Okay sure. It's just that the part time job interferes with the class too, so I will have to look for a different job entirely, which I started to do now.

No I haven't been able to devise one yet, since the memory problems have been throwing me off from devising such a plan, but I can keep trying.
