If he teases me about another guy he doesn't like me?

Hi,

 

I work with a few guys who act like 6 years old sometimes and they are all over 30 and married with kids But, they are great.

 

Anyways, there is this guy on our team that is very strange ...an odd bird.

They for some strange reason decided that me and him should get married and don't stop teasing me about it although they know that there is zero chance of that ever happening even if hell freezes over.

 

The team leader even came up with a silly childish song and they love singing it to me and it cracks them up and I admit it is funny.

 

Anyways, one of the guys (he is single) on my team, that I developed strong feelings for after he helped me a lot with my panic attacks and was really there for me when i needed him and I was at my lowest ,also joins the guys in their fun and amusement.

 

Does that mean that there is no way that he will be interested in me romantically since he jokes about another guy?

I doubt he thinks of you at all, beyond as a co-worker. His behavior is more akin to group mentality among adolescents. He is afraid to be an individual so he goes along with the group.

I think if he was attracted to you romantically he wouldn't join in with the teasing because he wouldn't want to piss you off.

Get yourself a life outside of work and date unmarried guys you don't work with.

 

And yes, he's not interested in you. They like teasing you and they're all married and trying to marry you off to whatever the guy they're teasing you about.

You should be taking this to HR. These people are making a mockery of you and "odd bird" guy. Teasing you like this is purely for their amusement and it's being cruel. I'm sure this is making odd guy feel real bad, and dreads coming to work for being picked on. You are being mislead by the caring of said guy you have a crush on....he's not interested in dating you. You are confusing this attention to be attraction, when it's something very negative. Girl they are poking fun at you, that's harassment.
