mortensorchid
I don't know what sent me down this road (stressful day at work as well), but ... I came across this after not seeing this in how many years and it really made me cry. Loneliness is a horrible thing and wanting to be accepted by a group. Made me think of how lonely I have been in the past and wishing for a friend. I changed that once I realized certain things: 1) Be strong, be brave - fake it until you make it 2) Be proud of having the strength to endure 3) Find your purpose 4) Know what true pain and suffering is and then you will know happiness 5) Be the best person you can be because all you have ultimately is you

major_merrick
Sorry you're having a rough day. I have definitely been there. I've found that the best thing I can do when I'm depressed is curl up and sleep it off. Take some meds and hit the bed. Usually things are better in the morning. Being strong and finding value in yourself is a fine start. But that only goes so far. One thing that I learned from my husband is that one of the best things you can do is reach out to someone else from your own point of pain. It puts the power back in your hands because you're defying your own seemingly impossible situation to do something good. It takes a real act of faith to believe you can pour something out of an empty jar...but it works.

whichwayisup
This time of year is tough for a lot of people, the time change and dealing with less light. Try to eat healthy, take lots of vitamin D and sleep when you need to sleep, no guilt! Giving you a virtual hug! Hope you feel better soon.
