Prudence V
On the weekend, Boris Johnson’s (alleged) xOW was interviewed. For those not in the UK, she’s a blonde Californian called Jennifer Arcuri and she’s at the centre of an investigation into BoJo’s conduct while mayor of London. Not because of the EMR - they’re what he’s known for, more than his chaotic hair even - but because he didn’t declare the R and she clearly derived benefit from the association with him - which is ethically dodgy, at best. For those with google - there’s a whole lot of salacious detail involving stripper poles, “technology lessons” and all sorts of typical BoJo stuff. So the tone in the interview was - there’s this woman, who clearly was smitten, who’s been ghosted now because “bigger things are at stake” and this well known cad has done what he does best (humped and dumped). But meantime, she got married and had a baby and her (obvs rebound) hubby must hate all this media coverage of her mooning around teary-eyed about some xMM who has since moved on to greener pastures. (His new GF is probably not too amped, either). She was interviewed quite kindly, though the editorial line implied that the “using” wasn’t one-way as her businesses did pretty well out of the association with him, but she’s basically become a caricature in the media here of the “abandoned OW” who knowingly jumped into bed with someone infamous for lying and cheating, who’s now crying because it happened to her. That she projects the image of a ditsy blonde bimbo doesn’t help, though she’s not short on self-confidence either. M guessing the media are courting her in the hope that she’ll swing, and become the archetypal “scorned woman” and leak all kinds of damaging info on him, ahead of the election... but given that the issue is about him, and his conduct in office, is it fair to milk this woman and her emotions so pruriently rather than putting the spotlight on him? I think you are square on. They hope that personal details or even state secrets that were whispered when half asleep will emerge and then up goes the circulation.
elaine567
He is the "big guy" here, the Prime Minister, the Establishment's most recent champion... She is an annoying fly, that just needs to buzz off. She is "spoiling" things for the poor bumbling but lovable Boris. How very dare she? The game is to make her life a hell so it may dissuade other "conquests" from going public. Boris is being Boris, just being a man surely?... Blonde bimbo? She was asking for it. Give him a break... The nasty American gold digger deserves whatever is coming to her... /sarcasm But Arcuri is not apparently going away, she is being coy, and she is dangling her "secrets" to maximum effect. I guess Boris's election team are none too happy with this situation.
