Now it will look like you were in the wrong or at least that how he will spin it to the rest of the group. He'll just tell them she came on to him. So if he doesn’t talk to anyone about it tonight and everything stays the same should i text him and confront him tomorrow? he is going back to his university tomorrow

If he gets away with this then there is a chance that in the future he will try the same thing because there are were consequences. I'm a bit surprised that your GF didn't talk about filing charges against him with the police. That would have certainly sent a nice little message to him although it would have been he said/she said, it still would have exposed him. It seems to me that you guys want to sweep this under the rug and blame it on booze. That is the easy way to go. Years from now your life may be quite different with new friends and other love interests. Why create a big stink? In my humble opinion it comes down to personal respect and this guy has none for you or your GF and I don't see how you blocking him on facebook is going to provide any. Sorry for the fumble fingers. The sentence should have read: "If he gets away with this then there is a chance that in the future he will try the same thing because there were no consequences."

Remember this is between you two, not the group. And during this firm discussion, grow a backbone or this guy will never learn what he did was wrong and damaging to your relaitonship. You should've confronted him the moment you found out about it. There should be no questions about that. You should've stood up for her. You've left it far too long imo. You even sound scared to confront him.

For me, the litmus test of cheating is if the cheater tries to keep it secret. Exceptions always exist but I've found it to be a useful rule of thumb.
