Ok so to keep it short, I hooked up with a girl that has the same surname as me, at first I thought that I need to check that we aren't family connected so that we can actually be in a relationship. I talked to my grandmother and my parents regarding this case, they told me that they have never ever heard of this girl nor her parents/grandparents (even tho we both carry the same surname) after some digging I found out that we share the surname because of a grand grand grand father from around 150/200 years ago because we both come from the same place our ancestors got born. Now, is it Ok that Im in a relationship with her because I do think that this is way beyond far fetched to be a problem. What do you guys think?

I see no issue with it.  I think the DNA you have in common would be so tiny as to be almost non-existent.  If neither of you have a problem with it, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Pretty much as long as she's not your sister or your first-cousin, you are good to go.  People have an extreme incest taboo these days.  Where I live, there's plenty of instances of second and third-cousins dating.  The amount of shared DNA even of relatives that close is really small.  Since your shared DNA comes from150-200 years ago it is basically like you guys aren't related.  Sharing the same name just makes it easier if you guys were to get married, as she won't have to go through a name change process.  I'd call that a win!
