depcharger
A new low for tinder and online dating the girl I have been talking to about education, sports and culture for 2 days just asked me "am I just going to keep talking to her or buy something?" I asked what she meant about "buy something" I was the told "a date, a public one, would cost me $80 per hour" She also charges for pictures Average Average looking girl, nothing at all unique or exceptional about her looks. Attractive enough for me to date but by no means a model or stunner or IG babe How am I supposed to react to this?
d0nnivain
You are supposed to react by realizing that she is a professional sex worker -- a hooker. If you want a GF, you stop interacting with her. If you want the GF experience, you meet her price, or at least negotiate a lower price with her but you pay her for her services. If you chose to pay, I'd skip the public date & go straight to the "good stuff." Do wear a condom & be safe Edited January 17, 2020 by d0nnivain 6
RecentChange
If a con man asks you for money, how are you supposed to react? Sounds like she just works a little harder to bait her Johns. So she talked to you a bit, worked to get you to like her a little - then dropped her hourly rate. If you are looking for a prostitute you found one. If you aren't looking for a prostitute block her. Some people will pay for the "girl next door look" far from all sex workers are stunners - the extremely beautiful ones have a higher price tag. Regular girls don't ask for money like this, sex workers do.
Miss Spider
Sellers can charge as much as the market can bear based on consumer demand at that point in time. Supply and demand, bro
Angelflower
The self centeredness of people now a days. I'm so beautiful if you want to look at me... then you must pay!~ No wonder guys are so jaded...
vla1120
Wow. Is that even legal? Well. At least she's up front about it right off the bat. I love the ones who talk to you for awhile, then all of a sudden they need a "loan" to help pay for their sick mother's surgery - or some nonsense.
Blind-Sided
And this is why I refuse to go on a dating app. You should respond with... "I would like to buy, but can you recommend someone with a better attitude?" LOL
lurker74
I appreciate her honesty!

elaine567
She's a sex worker if she doesn't name her price then she isn't likely going to get paid. She is just using the app to ply her trade.

I don't know that sex workers are "self centered" - they simply for whatever reason have decided to make sex a heartless financial transaction. Sex work has been around since the dawn of time. Now it's women on dating sites. Before it would have been the "nice lady" who sits next to a guy at the bar and flirts with him a while before naming her price.
Angelflower
Are you sure she is a hooker or maybe she is a sugar baby. They seem to think that guys need to pay for the pleasure of their company without the sex.
d0nnivain
Angelflower -- Admittedly I don't know that much about sex workers or sugar babies but I think that sugar babies don't have hourly rates. They want their rent paid, nice clothes, cars, jewelry etc.
RecentChange
Most sugar babies have sex with their clients. Not many men are going to pay to hang out with a woman they can't bang - when there are many others willing to put out for the same price.
elaine567
Sugar baby, hooker, prostitute, escort, sex worker... no difference
elaine567
Apps are a great way for sex workers to target lonely, desperate men who may be persuaded to pay for her attention and services.. They can probably spot likely candidates a mile off...
Shining One
Keep in mind that other sites that provided a marketplace for these services stopped doing so (Craigslist) or were shut down (Backpage) in recent history. The migration to online dating sites was inevitable. I've run into quite a few of these in recent months, though they don't usually take two days to start quoting prices. I just report their profile and move on.

Foxhall
Its not a completely absurd idea for a guy who is struggling to make any impression with the ladies or struggling to hold a conversation, an hour or two having a coffee date with someone like this just might help boost his confidence and lessen his fear of a woman, just saying 😎
Ruby Slippers
Block and delete. Cherokee proverb: "A woman's highest calling is to lead a man to his soul, so as to unite him with the source. Her lowest calling is to seduce, separating man from his soul and leaving him aimlessly wandering. A man's highest calling is to protect woman, so she is free to walk the earth unharmed. Man's lowest calling is to ambush and force his way into the life of a woman."
lana-banana
^^ That doesn't sound like a proverb, that sounds like a fake quote from a creep. A woman's highest calling involves a man? Yeah, right. Ever since Backpage and Craigslist shut down, it's difficult for sex workers to find clients online (which is much safer for them than hanging around the street). So, yes, they use apps. All you have to do is say "nope, not for me" and move on.
