embarrassed
Friday on my way home from work, I stopped by my boyfriend's work. He was so happy to see me. Well, he got a customer and had to go. At the last minute I have no idea where or why I said it, but "Love you" came out. Then we kissed. I was so shocked, embarrassed, mortified and scared I scared him away. From what I saw, he started laughing. I felt humiliated. I'm so surprised I didn't hit a person or a car on the way out of his office. I wanted to hide from the world. That night when he got home, I had such a hard time looking at him, much less could I touch him. I calmed down and can finally get back to normal. He never said anything about what had happen. He's the kind of man who doesn't know how to open up to his feelings verbally. I have to say, his action speak louder than words. He actions shows me he loves me but, after what happen and him laughing at me I'm guessing he doesn't feel the same way. Why would he laugh at me? I have never been so embarrassed. I'm hoping one day he'll be able to tell me he loves me.
David Gevert
Don't be so worried about it. You say that he's not the kind of guy who knows how to open up; the human being often resorts to extremely unpredictable reactions when confronted with unexpected emotions. (I'll say...I told my girlfriend that I love her Saturday...that night, when I was trying to sleep, I had to fight off tears, and I have NO idea where they were coming from...happiness...confusion...I don't know. I know that I meant what I said.) Just don't let him think by your OWN actions that you no longer love him, okay? I hope that he finds the ability within himself to love you, too, and let you know. Until then, keep on loving him, and liking him, and just enjoy the relationship! (Just my two cents.) Friday on my way home from work, I stopped by my boyfriend's work. He was so happy to see me.
