Enormous crush on someone that I've never met

Recommended Posts

Hey

I know I have no right to tell anyone how to react to a post but I'd just like to say that I would be grateful if you don't make fun of me because writing this is already embarrassing enough.

My problem is that I have developed a weird fixation with some person that I don't even know personally.

The two obvious issues with that are that the person's male or (as am I) and that he's, well not exactly a celebrity but still famous in certain circles. Enough to have his own Wikipedia page and tons of videos of him on YouTube.

This has never happened to me before and I don't know how to handle it. I keep telling myself that it's ridiculous to be that into someone who I don't even know personally.

This fixation is also proof of what I'd already assumed, namely that I'm not opposed to the same sex.

I don't know what's stressing me out more.

It just feels wrong and frankly ridiculous.

I can't even tell you how exactly it happened. I came across him by poor chance and was immediately mesmerised.

Please help

I guess ... whatever gets you through the day. As long as you don’t get all stupid and try to stalk him in reality or something. I develop crushes on people I don’t know all the time. In my case though, it’s mainly because I’m hyper-sexual and need a safe outlet that doesn’t require actually having to deal with a real life trifling man.

How ‘bout you? 🥺

Maybe it's easier for you to be crushing on a stranger instead of actually connecting with someone in real life, especially since you're stressed about the same sex thing.

Most likely if you can have a connection with someone in real life this crush will go away, or at least lesson to a great degree.

If it's stressful enough for you, maybe consider talking to a counselor to help get your thoughts organized.

1981 Christopher Atkins.   Schoolgirl crushes (or the adult variety) go away eventually.
