Boudoir Photos-What is a man's take on them?

Also actual printed photos are becoming more and more a thing of the past. Once printed, what does one do with these? Keep them in a drawer and pulled them out and reminisce?

Recall this was before digital photos existed.  She made a album for them.  But exactly, they capture a moment in time.  As time goes on it may well be a way to remember when we were young.

This is clearly a gift you only give to someone you trust, and trust is even more important for who takes the photos.  I imagine lawgirl, going by the name, made sure there was a good agreement in place on who owns the photos, she has the only copies and will sue the photographer 6 ways to Sunday if they ever share them.

I did some of this before we were married, both on film (anyone remember Polaroid?) and early versions of then new digital cameras, and they remain locked up with the original Zapruder film and the porno from Hitler's bunker. It was kinda fun, foreplay, nice lingerie show, some corsets and garters and such. Fun. We're divorced so it remains in the past. Probably haven't looked at them in 20 years. Still, fun at the time. If she had any professional stuff done it wasn't for me.

Surprised about the money issue people bring up.   How expensive is it?  I'm thinking maybe a $100-$200, not at a level that would cause me to bat an eye.  The romantic Valentines Day dinner had recently was much more than that (with the wine).   Concerts, sporting events, more expensive as well.

My guess would be more like $500-$1000 if you got a professional photographer, and not an intern or your friend with a DSLR to do it. ;) Pro photography equipment is expensive, so is their time.

But I'd assume that the OP can easily afford it (otherwise she wouldn't do it), so the money would be a moot point.

Money is not really an issue in my household. My husband and both make a comfortable living but I could see if  money was an issue why it would be considered not worth it.

It is for my husband do obviously I trust that he will not hand the album out, that being said, I am covered in these photos so racy or not, I really don't have any  negative feelings toward if anyone else sees them. They are absolutely stunning. I look stunning in them. I did purchase the digital phots as well but the album was for more of a keepsake so when I am 80 years old, god willing I live that long, that I can look back on it. They are quite expensive. I have a professional take them and it was a female. There is no way I would have done that with a male photographer.

Can I take what's behind curtain number three?!      😄

They are okay, I'd look at them on rare occasion.........but I'd rather get some new cloths, or a trip! The pictures are not that big a deal when you have the girl in the flesh.

A professional photographer can do some pretty amazing things! I have zero regrets hiring one for our wedding. ;)

I really don't think you need to justify your decision to anyone. Clearly it was a very positive experience for you, and I think a compatible man who loves you would, at the very least, be happy that you are sharing this fantastic experience with him - so I am fairly certain your husband will regardless. Like my husband and cat videos - he doesn't actually LIKE cat videos and would never watch them on his own, but apparently he likes watching me watch them because I look happy when I do. :classic_laugh:

For me and my H, boudoir photos are not really a thing, but that's just us. You do you. The world would be a really boring place if everyone had the same preferences.

I guess I should have mentioned, probably would have been useful information, before scheduling the photo shoot I did tell my H about it and he has been extremely supportive. It is not a surprise to him that I did the shoot but the photos are certainly a surprise that I will give him for our Anniversary. I initially only scheduled the shoot as a confidence booster for me. The fact that I get photos to give to him is just an added bonus. I did not to it for the photos per se.

Ruby Slippers

I've taken sexy photos of myself using the camera timer for boyfriends and every one has been completely gaga over them. Once I unleash those photos, there's always a noticeable change in their demeanor toward me, a wow factor. Win-win 😏
