staying calm during professional conflict

there's nothing wrong with having an arch nemesis, I have one myself. In fact you may find that it inspires you to make sure you outdo that person at every task, which only makes you better at what you do :)

I disagree. Life's too short and too busy to spend time trying to out-do another, especially someone you don't like. For inspiration, I turn to those I admire, not those I despise.

To each his/her own, though...

Have I mentioned vibrating teeth before? I can't remember! The weekend brain drain process is already well underway.

Is this the Horny Friday thread? :p Teeth, huh? Well, maybe if they vibrate gently...

Now with respect to this drip you're dealing with - can you manage icy cold?

If not, then try this. Don't know if I can describe it well enough but I'll give it a shot. Remember the 'Magic eye 3D' pictures, otherwise known as 'stereograms'? Could you see them? If so, you know how it feels to alter your vision so that you can see the images.

In much the same way, you alter your presence at these events. Imagine psychically 'stepping back' from the fray. Someone else said be a witness - it's like that. Imagine a glass wall or some other shield/barrier between you so that you are not physically proximate to her. That should help you 'detach' from the situation enough to behave with perfect aplomb no matter how nutso she gets.

Outcast, if I were to picture her having a no-holds-barred sex orgy with a mule a racoon and Ossama bin Laden, do you think that would make her seem more or less intimidating?

I'm desperate :) Perhaps conjuring up a couple of totally ludicrous and possibly slightly controversial visuals will be a means to addressing my current plight.

Ossama??? Glad to see you still focused on middle east peace talks!

How 'bout throwing in the vibrating teeth and putting a hat on the donkey? :)

Excellent idea! As for the racoon, I think a day-glo condom could be rather fetching, but I'm not certain they they make them small enough.

I agree with you slubber, but I do feel there are ways learn and succeed from using both sides. I guess it depends on the kind of working atmosphere that you are employed under. In my situation, the corporate politics and positioning can be lethal and career stopping at times, if you do not play to win. I can't say that I always like this situation, but there are times when it is extremely gratifying too.

Cheers

This thread could be considered proof by some, that women and business don't mix.

I don't feel that way myself, but am willing to take advantage.

Replace to two babes with men.

Then GP can console Lindya with an invite to join me in Florida. I want she rage where it belongs...in my bedroom.;)

I see. "Women, with all their bitching and cat-fighting, just can't hack it in business. Forget your career, and come fluck with me instead. How fabulous that in the year 2005 men should still be making such prehistoric comments.

How big is the house in Florida, and does it have a private swimming pool attached? Provided the pool is deep enough for me to drown her in, I'll take my new friend along with me. :)

In my industrial park, they rent space to a film producer that would reward you for beating her Butt on film. (extra $ if you wear a bikini and boots)

I tossed him out for offering such a deal to the women in my employ.

But for you, I'll set up a meet.:

I'm considering all offers of employment right now.

Perhaps later you and I could spend some quality time together:love:
