Is partner X normally dominant over partner Y?

Even in those cases, it's not one leads and the other follows, look at Psalms description of the capable wife.

Here the psalmist says she manages the household, makes deals for commodities, invests and manages the investment, and so on. Far more than a simple matter of taking and executing simple orders. She is his trusted partner, and more valuable than anything else. The man being the designated head doesn't reduce her in any way.

I'm not saying it "reduces" her, I just don't understand why anyone would assign roles based solely on what genitals you were born with, rather than what the individual people's strengths and preferences are. But, as I said, that's not really the point of the thread.

If being designated head doesn't reduce the other in any way why not just flip a coin for it?

 Heads for head?

 You should start a S&R thread for this! I've started a few over the years, but if I did any more, people would probably be like "geez, that pervy sub girl again?!". 😂

In almost every successful relationship I’ve seen, partners lead in their areas of enthusiasm, expertise and experience. It’s rare one person exerts complete control over a spouse or BF/GF in  every area - and unhealthy too...
