Backinthesaddleagain
Since I have gotten back online after a several month hiatus, it's shocking how many scams and porn sites post on them now. As if it isn't hard enough to find someone on these sites, now you have hordes of whores, porn sites, "sugar babies", couples looking for 3 ways, gang bangs, and fake profiles to wade through. Sometimes I hate the human race, and I wish a giant asteroid would come and vaporize the planet. 3 1 1
Ruby Slippers
You can still sift through to find treasure, though. I met my boyfriend on a dating site 5 months ago, and though we've had some bumps due to both being highly bullheaded at times, we're doing well and both feel lucky we finally found each other 🥰
Mystery4u
It's OLD... sounds about right, not surprising at all. That's why meeting people in real life is always better and more satisfying. 5

kendahke
So true... I'm finding so many profiles of married men looking for a 3rd or separated men looking. There are even women in some of my feeds and I'm not checking for women. 1
nospam99
LOL. I recently re-upped to ourtime because I saw a interesting profile and wanted to send her a message. Shot in the dark but it's only for one month and I got a 50% discount. When I'm not paying, I hide my profile. So at the moment, I'm visible. I was going to post a couple of 'interesting' messages I received: boilerplate content ('I like your profile') from women living several states away, ten or more years younger than I am with attractive photos. Sorry, can't post the messages because they're gone. Either I deleted them and forgot or ... the site deleted the accounts because they were scammers. Probably the site because I don't even see the accounts in the list of the profiles I've viewed. My point, same old same old, outime is rife with romance scams. Nothing like a herd of old dudes who are assumed to be lonely and to have money. To me, not really 'disgusting'. Just more hay, chaff or rough, to pull in a few searching metaphors.

d0nnivain
Yuck. I thought it was bad way back when. That kind of garbage would definitely send me packing.
preraph
I've always heard there so many fake profiles on there trying to make it look like a good place to be. Maybe they're trying something different and just going ahead and letting the prostitutes on.

After I got off ( stopped paying) I realized that the site kept my profile up so men were being matched with me but since I wasn't paying anymore they couldn't contact me. The site would send me multiple emails a day announcing all the new matches trying to lure me & my money back. 2
preraph
Well it's no wonder so many people complain that they don't get any matches if half the people on there are not even on there anymore. 1
nospam99
match.com flags profiles as active for three days. PoF flags for a month. After that I have no clue - people could be gone for years. The sites could add 'value' by indicating exactly how long (day count) it's been since people have logged on. But more likely they will just keep reducing value by progressively presenting less and less information.
Cookiesandough
Yea it sucks, but it always amazes me how gullible men are when it comes to the scammers. I knew a guy who paid a woman $50 to go on a date with her...of course she didn’t. lol How is that not a red flag? They really like you, but keep dodging your suggestions to meet. Uh huh. The same dude shows me his interactions with these women and I’m just SMH and how transparent they are. The first one was a woman who looked like Sophia Vergara and she was like “I’m away on a modeling gig(common line they use), but I am looking for a man who will love me. I want to be a good wife to a man and just have him love me “ lol He’s a really average looking dude. And they talk like this for several days until she drops the line she needs money for a new phone to call him or something like that. The next was this girl who wanted him to pay him to have sex on video with her. I mean, sure, right? Of course she needed him to sign up on her cam site first. So obvious. It’s like the romance equivalent of a person coming up to you and telling you they have a million dollars they need to get rid of, would you be willing to take it..Men, you’re part of the problem Edited March 10, 2020 by Cookiesandough
Author Backinthesaddleagain
I matched with a girl the other day. I sent a brief hello message, she said hi. I asked her how her day was going, and she said "s***ty... I can't get home" I instantly blocked her. Really??? It's a dating site!!!! If you need a god damn ride, use another app..., called UBER. WTH is wrong with people? (don't answer, it's rhetorical) 😛 1 1

Allupinnit
I used to have men ask me to come over right then and there, like he could just have a pizza delivered. A few men I actually WENT OUT WITH messaged me again a few months later as if we'd never met. LOL. And then of course the best way to combat an unsolicited dick pick is to just send one right back. I kept a pic of a REAL huge hairy one on my phone that I'd reply with haha oh the good ol' days of OLD. 1
ccas93
The other day I matched with a woman on Bumble. A "Mexican expat, and an investor." She asked me if I was interested in a "mutually beneficial arrangement." I asked her what kind of arrangement this was, and she said that the deal was for me to pay her $300 for her "services." I asked her what her services were, and she unmatched me 😂 like really..you get sex and $300, and then I just get sex... probably wouldn't even be good sex if she was just doing it for money. And that is "mutually beneficial?" She wasn't even THAT attractive. Like no better looking than anyone I could have sex with for free. I can't stand those types of profiles.

Author Backinthesaddleagain
I also had another match last week. I exchanged the usual pleasantries and I asked her what she liked to do for fun. She replied "I just give massages" insta-block! Even her prostitute scam game was weak! 😂

MsJayne
I'm guessing you're probably using POF or Oasis, both of them are full of scammers, hookers, and other assorted date site creeps. Paid sites also have their creeps but fewer than the free sites. You just have to persevere. A few guys had mentioned to me that they got hit on by hookers on there, and most of them follow the same MO - they send the guy a 'hello' from a profile with a pic of a really hot chick, and they arrange to meet up. Guy turns up and the woman is actually an old boiler with a face like a bus crash. She offers him a cash deal and then it's up to him. Or, she may be the woman in the pic, but she arrives with her pimp and the guy gets robbed and bashed if he tries to get out of it. Personally I think if quick sex is what you're looking for then you ask for it, but for people who are genuinely looking for relationships......I hope one day the date sites are made accountable and that people who are scammed or even assaulted by other members should be compensated by the site. There has to be some degree of responsibility. Will be a long time coming though. Edited March 11, 2020 by MsJayne error 1
Gaeta
Then you are not on a quality site and you're not paying a membership. I always paid a membership so I would not have to deal with those advertizing + I set my search on exactly what I wanted to see meaning single men looking for serious relationship, that way I didn't waste time scrolling through hundreds of men looking for fun. That $1 a day membership is worth it. I spent 3 times that on coffee per day, if you are serious about finding someone then get that membership. 4
The Outlaw
Well, so long as the giant asteroid his the main office of the IRS fir-------oh, snap! I was thinking out loud! 🤪 But yeah. I hear you with OLD. I did it once long ago. But I preferred and still do meeting people IRL. You'll have a far better idea of what you'll be getting.
