What do you think of my new Match profile summary?

I find it a bit cold and formal. I always, (used to :) ), respond to humorous profiles, guys who make it obvious they don't take themselves or date sites too seriously. I agree with other posters that the word 'gentleman' gives off a bad vibe, like you wear a bowler hat everywhere and are looking for the kind of 'lady' who can challenge you to a game of tennis without breaking an unladylike sweat. She'll notice you have nice manners, etc, when she meets you, and she can see you're educated, intelligent, etc, by the fact that you can spell and string a coherent sentence together, (don't laugh, this is not a common trait among people on date sites).

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm going back to the drawing board to work on a new profile. In the meantime the one I currently have is better than that new one I wrote.

I agree.

What do you think about writing it from the point of view of how I'd like her to feel like there is someone narrating and commenting on how boilerplate most profiles are? For example saying something like tbelow. I haven't finished it yet, but wanted to see if its worth continuing with something along these lines...

"I’m someone who… wait a minute…you know what? If you’re the kind of women I’m hoping to find here you’re going to have high standards and are probably board of al the profiles that read the same. So what if I make things more interesting you for you and pretend there is someone narrating when I’m hoping you’re thinking when reading my profile. That should be a bit more fun for both us.

From looking at his photos he is clearly someone enjoys doing a lot of outdoor activities and is pretty active so I’m sure it would be easy to find enjoyable outdoor activities we can do together. What if I don’t feel like playing tennis, kayaking, or skiing and want to do something a little more laid back? Glad you asked! You’ll be happy to know I also …"

But funny , back when l was amazed how many women wrote on theirs , l'd just like to meet such and such type of gentlemen , talking women later 40s early 50s , it always surprised me that even some of the more cooler looking still chicks type women used a word like gentlemen . But when l saw that l usually thought even if she did look this or that and maybe my type , she'd probably be a bit stuffy and straight arse for me bc l couldn't imagine any woman of mine using the term gentlemen. But so at the same time if he used it on his page , it probably would've been fine going on that.

Who knows.

I.... I mean that’s definitely not boring anymore. But probably a tad too confusing and a smidge too weird for most.  I know.. you just can’t win. I applaud your creativity though and I think you’re getting warmer.

I kind of got the idea from when Sean first me Juliet in the TV show Psych, which is one of my favorite shows. I thought it might make things more interesting and be different. You can see the part here. Maybe it doesn't translate into a profile
