Finding Things to do During Pandemic

Recommended Posts

I envy the people that have great incomes and are able to work from home (remotely) or have enough income to be

off work for a few months. On my breaks, I look at social media and see friends playing guitar... putting puzzles

together... sewing things... gardening in their backyards while staying home and socially distancing and I envy it. I'm not jealous,

I'm envious.

I'm still reporting to my work as long as I have to (and am able to) because if I don't, I won't be able to pay the rent or put

food on the table next month or the next. I can't go remote very easily. It's a lesson learned, though...

I should have worked harder on my career so I could be making more money at this point in my life. I should have saved up, as well.

Lesson learned.

Hope this all ends really soon.

I don't know the full range of remote jobs that are currently available, and also what your background is - but have you checked any of the job boards to see if there is something you could apply to that you could maybe do remotely? Or something that interests you more. There seems to be quite a variety out there.

I empathize though, this is a very tough situation. I really hope this is all over soon.

If anyone is handy at setting up remote computer systems/networks, there should be plenty of work for that now.  You could lease them out, put them right in a company's employees' homes.  My part-time boss is having a ton of work right now when other people doing what he does are floundering because he got right on it and is very tech savvy.
