I'm relocating with my husband to WV, near Martinsburg, by the end of summer. This is why I don't want to start therapy here, on the East Coast, because I won't be able to continue. I know no one in WV to ask, and I've searched online already, but haven't found anything promising yet. So I'm asking complete strangers for help, specifically those who live in WV. I've only recently heard about the Freeze/Fawn complex (?) and am seeking a therapist who specializes in Somatic Psychology with regard to complex PTSD and healing form childhood traumas. I've been in out of therapy for over 30 years, but this is new to me. TIA for your help. I've gone the Google route, but I'm mostly interested in referrals from actual people. Edited to add: I've ordered a book on this already called "Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving", so I'll spend the next few months working through that until I can find a therapist.
