The legendary Baghdad Bob probably had a hand in conveying China's official stats relating to Covid.

 

According to recent (yesterday? - March 30) data.

China had officially 81,518 total cases over time.

now fully recovered   76,052

total deaths (reported by) China :   3305

"new cases" reported at the same time:   79

 

Considering that they had upward of "80,000" cases a month ago (March 2)

they've supposedly added 1500 cases over that duration, with "79" of those still considered "new" 

That although they supposedly have a relatively modest 2461 cases still active.

 

So somehow...  China managed to spawn 79 "new" cases in a day or two from roughly 2461 'active' cases despite a miniscule infection rate during most of March.

 

... and yeah, they've been locked inside...  SINCE JANUARY 23 or so.

(but in China, locked inside  equates to 2 or 3 families together in one apartment)  (so it means almost nothing on the grand scale of preventing transmission)

 

Even Newsweek here in the U.S. is cross-checking the Baghdad Bob-like official counts of Chinese Covid fatalities by counting the numbers of urns being shuttled around in Wuhan.
