sweetbrokensoul
Ok-what is wrong with people today? I work in the hotel business and people are SO rude. I swear, I must have said hello-to at least 5 people today-not once did they say it back, just right to business. Are people more rude now a days? What is wrong with a little common courtesy and a smile? Would it kill you to be kind? Or, sometimes when I am at the store and people don't say excuse me when they bump you or need you to move. Also, when I hold the door open for people and I do often, I don't get alot of thank you's? HELLO PEOPLE -MANNERS!! I dont know-maybe I'm crazy for thinking that having common courtesy and kindness to people was the nice thing to do. It makes me feel better knowing I'm doing it but people look at you like you're crazy. Just wanted to vent. Thanks!

tanbark813
I agree, people in general have a startling lack of manners. If I hold the door open for someone just to be nice and they don't even acknowledge me I usually say "You're welcome" afterwards anyway. They should change the phrase to "uncommon courtesy".
