Foxhall
hmmn, I imagine im hardly the most obvious candidate for talking about beauty products, anyway I do find coconut oil good for massages and a herbal calendula cream good for skin rashes!
Realitysux
I like Quo cosmetics. I love their foundation and powder and I'm obsessed with their brushes. I wouldn't mind hearing what you use for a self tanner. I usually hit the tanning salons but not going has improved my skin and I want to switch to a self Tanner. I'm a little worried about streaks and orangeness? Edited May 21, 2020 by Realitysux
K.K.
Philosophy perfume. Light and yummy. Amazing Grace is my favorite (although that’s another one of those products that people say has “changed” but I don’t see it yet). Also Falling in Love from the same brand. I second Sally Hansen nail polishes. Long wearing and great colors. I’m partial to ‘Black Heart’. Also, omg my niece gave me this whole package of nail polish from 5 below of all places. The brand is Jacky & Lauren. Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. It dries almost immediately and shines like crazy. Lasts forever. Best nail polish I’ve ever used and there was like 7 of them in the package. I’m a cheapskate drugstore makeup shopper usually. Because let’s face it, I usually hate what I pick anyway so it’s less money to throw away. Hard Candy Color Correct Sheer Envy under eye concealer. Comes in a tube with a cushion on the end for dabbing and blending. Wet n Wild highlighting powder! Just as good as the expensive one I had that I can’t even remember the name because this one’s better. Palmers cocoa butter stick for under lipstick. Love this thread! ❤️

MeadowFlower
Cool topic @Cookiesandough(sure beats talking about dumb guys lol) Does anyone know of any natural cream foundation without titanium dioxide or Aloe Vera in it? I'm currently using (well when I do wear makeup) Rejuva Minerals pressed powder foundation, which I'm fairly happy with all round. But I wouldn't mind getting a cream foundation, but I'm particular about ingredients. Edited May 22, 2020 by MeadowFlower

It’s a personal thing. I’m not a fan of the big cloud of scent that follows someone around like a bad habit, but we’ve all probably been guilty of this somewhere along the line though, both sexes. Less is more. It acts like a pleasant surprise when you see someone sexy or cute and get within a few inches of them and can say “oh they smell good too!” 🥰 I really like the fresh and clean scents. There was a guy at my old job, that smelled sooo good I’d follow him around like a puppy. He was always sweaty and very overweight but he smelled like he just stepped out of an upscale spa bath. Clean and inviting. Just delicious. I asked him what he was wearing. He said it was Yves Saint Laurent ‘Y’. I also like Lacoste for this same reason. So fresh and clean. The spicy deeper scents would be good for nighttime I guess, but it’s so hard not to go overboard with them so I’m not sure about those. I think old school Halston 101 smells about as sexy as you can get. I’d probably say that if I had my choice, I wouldn’t want him to wear any cologne at all though.
RecentChange
I have a very simple skin care regime, it's probably not the products, and more genetics but it has been working great for me - creeping up on 42 and knock on wood still no wrinkles! This is a routine I settled on a few years ago and it really helped even my complexion, and keeps my skin smooth. I wash with Cetaphil soapless cleaners (the one for normal to oily skin). Several times a week I exfoliate by using a simple wash cloth. Every morning I use RoC retinol moisturizer with sunscreen. Every night I use Roc retinol night cream. Sunscreen sunscreen and sunscreen when I am out in the sun (my fair complexion is not built to withstand sun damage). I only wear make up when going to meetings or "going out". Mac Russian Red is my color - a make up artist picked it out for me eons ago and it just works perfectly with my skin tone / hair. Mascura? The tried and true (and cheap) Maybelline great lash.
amaysngrace
Your routine sounds so similar to mine @RecentChange it’s scary. I use mega lash though.

If so, what are some favorite fragrances Different sents work with your body chemistry - takes some trial and error to find a sent that works well for you. For instance I wear Thierry Mugler's Angel, which is a pretty bold sent - but it works great with my body chemistry (I get lots of compliments) but if definitely does not work for everyone. And just like different men like different sents on women, what women enjoy varies. I like earthy, leather, woodsy sents on a man.

Am I like the only person who hates Sally Hansen? 😄 The colors just aren't my thing, and they don't seem to last long on my nails. I like Essie's colors better, but they don't last long on my nails, either. ...Actually, nothing lasts long on my nails, period. Not even with a Seche Vite top coat. Not even a gel manicure... I got one done for my wedding and it was peeling by day 7, unlike the weeks-long wear that many people claim to get from gel. Maybe I just wash my hands too much, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in these times, lol!

Lol I’m really not a fan of the smell of it, but it works well for me and it’s a pretty good price point. I’ve never tried the gel manicures. Hmm I wonder why the polish doesn’t last very long. I don’t ever use a top coat but I use a clear base coat What about that stick on peel off nail polish I see on Facebook? You or anybody tried those?

MeadowFlower
What about lipstick? What's everyone's favourite? I don't wear lipstick. Some of my favorites are velvet teddy, taupe and brick-o la. For matte lipsticks I prefer the ones from bare minerals because they don't dry my lips ,boss, XYZ and friendship are my favorite shades.

regine_phalange
I just love Sanctuary spa. I keep purchasing certain skin products over and over again for the past 3 years. The moisture burst face wash is the best thing ever. It cleans my skin and I don't need moisturiser afterwards. (Word of warning: don't buy this item from amazon, I did and it dried my skin out, however when I bought it from the shop it was great and moisturising all 3 times). Also the youth boosting body butter. Velvet texture and the fragrance is amazing.... Finally the salt scrub soap bar. It smells like the body butter and is also very hydrating and polishing. I am not affiliated by the way. There are products I did not like, like their charcoal face wash and any of their face scrubs/masks. But the latter may be because my skins gets easily overwhelmed.
CautiouslyOptimistic
My must haves: Younique foundation, Vaseline lip therapy (many tubes because I always lose them), and St. Ive's Apricot facial scrub for in the shower. Everything else from moisturizer to eyeliner, I have no real preference, although I do also really like Younique pencil eyeliner because they stay on so well.
preraph
Cautiously, I love Vaseline Lip Therapy too. For years I used neutrogena, but then I guess I developed an allergy to coconut oil and had to get back to basics, and Lip Therapy is nothing but petrolatum, but nothing stays on better or works better. I hate I got the coconut oil thing. I think I always had it because I remember fainting after a pina colada a couple times, but then it started affecting me only if it was on my lips. Because it never did bother me in suntan oil. I have to keep it away from my lips though. It makes them crust up and get red. I keep the Lip Therapy in my purse, on my desk, and by my bed and extras in the medicine cabinet!!
preraph
I have a Target Red Card which is free shipping on non-food items, usually these days with $25 order though . Anyway, I did a search of their "Smartly" brand just to see what all they had because I had been using their soap, which is 99 cents. All the Smartly stuff is real inexpensive. And I saw they had a $2.99 "Unscented Facial Lotion." So I decided to try it. Nothing is that cheap. So I just put it on. I am sensitive to some ingredients that, of all things, make my eyelashes itch, and don't know what ingredient, so a lot don't work on me. Anyway, this is just basic moisture. It feels pretty good. It does not give a silky finish like some do. It's a bit tacky, but i bet I use it in between the heavier ones I use.
