Evening all,

So I came across this quote today and it really struck a cord with me!

“One day whether you are 14, 25 or 65 you will stumble upon someone who will start a fire in you that cannot die. However , the saddest , most awful truth you will ever come to find , is they are not always with whom we spend our lives”

Just wow. Sums up exactly how I feel.

My journey of self love , forgiveness and self improvement is well underway! I hope that all you heartbreak kids that are going through similar issues are doing well.

I don't know if I like the way that phrase is worded. Not that I don't believe it's true for certain people. But it seems to suggest that what comes after is never good enough and that kills any sense of hope, joy, etc. I'm 10.5 months out of a heartbreak. Even now, today, I still struggle at moment with loneliness though I've worked religiously to remind myself that while yes, I was 50% responsible for my own heartbreak as I stayed WAY PAST when I should have left, in the end....I am good enough and what I can do, provide, offer, give, etc. will be good enough for someone else. I just need to keep working and keep moving forward and not compromise or let my co-dependency traits (minimal) and need for love and affection tie me up again in a situation that's not right for me or with a person that's not good enough for me. But I can see the value in that perspective from the quote - I think the question is...what/who do you get to spend your life with?

There is much truth for some people but it is more complicated. Somewhat true for me because I fall for emotionally unavailable married ones. Don't know why except it turns out that married or single made little difference when the answer is No thanks get lost. But you may never know if she is really for you and wants you as well! See the book Sentimental Education for deep unrequited love story. We don't find love. Love finds us
