Mikado
I'm not a heavy drinker but I've been drinking a lot more regularly lately. I never drink enough to get hungover, yet twice I ended up vomiting after drinking. Can someone explain this? Yesterday for example I drank 1,5 shandy and 1-2 hours later 4cl cream liquor and 4cl jagermeister. I got really sick and spent quite some time over the toilet that night. Why is that? Other people drink a LOT before they feel ill but I get queasy after only a small amount. Is it a lack of 'training' or is it that certain drinks don't mix well or something like that? d0nnivain
Even the thought of mixing cream anything & jager makes me sick to my stomach. If you throw up after small amounts accept that alcohol doesn't agree with you. As a general proposition to avoid getting sick it's best not to mix. Stick with one thing & drink that all night. Sugary stuff will also make you sicker. Shots will make you sick too because it's too much too fast
FMW
I agree, don't mix, pick one drink and stick with it for the night. Don't chug, don't do shots. Pace yourself.  We all have different tolerances.

Andy_K
It's like spicy food. Some people just have a different tolerance to it. If you're vomiting after one and a half shandys and a couple of shots, alcohol is not for you. Eating more beforehand may help somewhat, but you're just going to half to be more careful
basil67
Oh, that combo would turn the best of stomachs 🤮 Stick to one type of drink, and make that choice a drink which is relatively simple.
CautiouslyOptimistic
I have not had jagermeister since my 21st birthday which was more than half my life ago. Just the thought of it now makes me want to vomit like I did that night!
lana-banana
Quote Yesterday for example I drank 1,5 shandy Seems fine... Quote 4cl cream liquor This is actually a pretty hefty amount of cream liquor. You might not believe it based on what you see at trashy bars, but that stuff is meant to be used to flavor coffee and desserts. Like anything with heavy cream, more than a tablespoon at a time can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Quote and 4cl jagermeister. As others have said, it's hard to read this without feeling queasy! Jager is already a grueling liquor for a shot. Combined with cream liquor I'd be vomiting too. Certain drinks indeed do not mix well and you picked one of the worst combinations imaginable. That's like mixing ice cream and cough syrup. It sounds like you are very young. If you want to explore alcohol, I suggest finding the flavor profiles you like (bitter? sweet? salty? rich?) and then exploring from there. Do not try to drink too many different kinds of flavors at a time (like cream liquor and Jager). Ask someone you trust to guide you through maybe 2-3 drinks over the course of an evening. Do not try to drink more than 3 drinks in a night. Yes, you're young and mostly invincible, and I'm sure you will have some nights when you can't even remember how much you drank, but generally speaking don't get in the habit of more than three in an evening. One of the most important things to learn is how to pace yourself and when to stop. Based on what you described, I think you might enjoy drinking a French 75 or an Aperol Spritz. I also strongly recommend drinking at least 8 oz of water between drinks if you're a man and at least 16 oz of water if you're a woman. Yes, you'll pee a lot, but you will also wake up the next morning feeling fine.

I feel this may be the problem. If you mix creamy drink with something else that may make it curdle in your stomach, it's never going to end well. If you're game, repeat the experiment with a single type of drink (NOT the cream liquor!). If it happens again then you may have a different sensitivity to alcohol compared with most.
ironpony
Do you get easily intoxicated after a small amount of alcohol, or do you feel totally fine, intoxication wise, but still throw up anyway?
bobjon
My questions are age and height/weight. That will help. Also want to know if you usually drink or not.   My only first thought is if you are dealing with a fatty liver so trying to rule that out.
