Kitchen
What is the best way to visualize in terms of getting the results you want? I did some searching on this forum and as I take it, visualization is about aligning your expectations and desires. Many of us desire something, be it a certain career, a particular salary, a beautiful wife, a successful husband, loyal friends, what not. However, we may simultaneously EXPECT something lesser than what we desire. This may be from a low self esteem, lack of confidence, not dreaming enough, whatever. Then your desires and your expectations conflict each other, and you end up disappointed or depressed. The goal is to improve your expectations by imagining (visualizing) exactly what you want. But there are multiple ways to do it as I see, some maybe better than others. I saw that someone on this forum wrote letters to an idea significant other for a year, and then happened to meet and marry someone who very much fit the characteristics of the person described in the letter. Another person wrote a specific salary number on their bedroom wall that was fairly ambitious, and then a few months later they were made an offer of that exact amount. I hear it is best to describe what you want in detail. Meaning, instead of expecting "a great job", you should expect "a managing director in this industry at this company with these benefits and salary". So my question to you is, what would you recommend as the best method to light up your imagination and your expectations so that universe becomes all eyes and ears to your thoughts, bringing in you the happiness that you want? CautiouslyOptimistic
Prayer. But it won't necessarily bring you everything you want or think you need.
Wiseman2
It's important to have goals. Personally professionally, etc. It's important to know what makes you happy and feel successful. But most of all it's important to have a viable plan of action in place for these things. Be careful not to confuse daydreaming and wishful thinking with attainable goals. Children engage in that. That's what Santa Claus is for.
Author Kitchen
Can anyone comment on the visualization techniques that they use, if any? I am genuinely interested in the law of attraction stuff, or to expand on what the book "The Secret" talks about.

You may get one or two folks here who know about this, but you might have better luck looking at a site like Reddit where they probably have a subreddit devoted entirely to this subject. I have never used reddit, but I will check it out. Thank you.
Ruby Slippers
Start listening to Abraham Hicks. She's an inspirational speaker and there are lots of free audio recordings on YouTube. I don't agree with her entire philosophy, but she has a lot of great lessons to teach. There are also some great inspirational videos from athletes about this. Almost every athlete uses lots of positive visualization to support the achievement of winning plays. Search on "Conor McGregror law of attraction" - he's an MMA fighter who came up from nothing to dominate the arena in a major way. This is my manifestation process: Start thinking about what you want, visualizing it coming to be and imagining how you'll feel once it comes to be. Write down what you want. Post it in a prominent place where you'll see it every day. Write it down every day in your calendar and spend a minute thinking about it, visualizing, and feeling how good it's going to feel. Talk about it. Talk about your goal with everyone you're comfortable telling. Sometimes you have to focus strongly, then let it go for a while. The idea is to allow and not resist. There are all kinds of great tips in free YouTube videos. Some desires take years to manifest, some just days or even hours. My method has been working for me better and better over the past few years.
