mortensorchid
I was with someone who died about five years ago. I was the last one to see him. He went home, went to bed, had a heart attack and died at age 45. He creeps into my thoughts every once in a while, I have been back to normal for a long time now. But I think of him still, like I am right now... Just wanted to share. 1

healing light
Were you guys still together at the time of his passing? Either way, I'm sorry for your loss.
d0nnivain
Hugs. Anniversaries bring up the memories. It's normal. There is nothing you could have done. It's just some people's time. Next weekend is the 14th anniversary of my EX's passing. Even writing that -- the idea that he has been gone for sooooo long & all the things that have happened since -- is upsetting. Hang in there. Try to focus on the happy memories.
neowulf
I think that having someone remember us when we're gone is the best most of us can hope for in this life. I can't tell you anything about my great, great grant parents. I can't tell you who they loved, what their favorite colour was, where they met and fell in love. Everything is lost to time eventually. I'm glad you took the time to share the memory of your friend. I'm sorry for your loss.
