I miss my old class

Last year I did a level 2 teaching assistant course. There was a group of 13 of us and they were lovely people. We all got on and had a laugh and supported each other. I enrolled to do level 3, since I have gone back there was only me and another woman who have gone back. The others were put off by the workload or had covid concerns.

The rest of our new cohort are mainly apprentices. The woman I knew from the last course said to me it is not the same as before, she misses the people. I feel really sad as the new people seem anti social, I don't know if covid worries may have to do with it.

I feel like it is a loss as usually when a person leaves a company there is just one person but you still have the others there. I feel like crying. How can I embrace this new change? Thanks.

Can you connect on LinkedIn?  Are there FB  groups? Start with that. Research your former colleagues/students on LinkedIn, see who is on there . Also upload your contact lists to see who is on there that you already know.

Get a good profile detailing your, education, experience, a good head shot, etc. Look for alumni groups. Connect with coworkers, former coworkers and alumni from your school. Join some professional organizations.

Covid took it's toll try to adapt. Reach out to people. Many probably feel the same way.
