wileysiren Posted October 13, 2005 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Hey all - I have been dating a really nice guy for almost 6 mos. now. I have already told him I love him. He has yet to say the "L" word. All other guys I have dated (+1 year long relationships) told me they loved me earlier than 6 mos. My current guy says he has committment issues stemming from a past relationship (maybe 2 years ago) where he was engaged to a girl, bought a house, they moved in with her mum and things went sour from there. He tells me he doesn't want that to happen again. I told him I would wait for him to come around and tell me that he loves me, but I won't wait forever. I can't specify a time frame of course but there will come a time where I won't wait for him. We get along very well, we "play" very well together, fight pretty good too though it's nothing serious - we've talked about kids, moving in together, etc etc (although those conversations were about a month and change ago and have not come up since then). Round about that time he told me he was "overwhelmed" by how nice I was being to him, that he was not used to women spoiling him with back rubs (not sexual), etc etc. Have I waited long enough for him to come around?
