I’m sorry to hear that Pepperbird. I hope you are back to normal soon.

I go for my second shot tomorrow. I have planned an easy day at work on Wednesday because I’ve heard from many that they don’t feel well after the second shot. But, my dad was fine. It’s such a crap shoot! I will be glad just to have it done…

If I recall correctly you had covid earlier? Right? Yeah for those of us who have had their covid experience we tend to react to both shots. I know....

Yes, and the odd thing is, I didn't get as sick as I did from the shot. For what it's worth, my husband and two of our adult kids got jabbed as well, and did just fine. They have autoimmune illnesses ( PA and autoimmune ion channelopathy (?) ) and didn't react at all to the vaccine, which makes me very, very happy :)

Got the shot on Saturday, and I was one of the few people who get sick from it.  I had a high fever, vomiting, and just feeling awful. My spleen got enlarged even more than it already is, and I was having an irregular heartbeat.  I ended up in the hospital over Sunday and was allowed to go home this morning.

I have to get the second dose in September.I'm not looking forward to it, but hopefully, it won't be so bad that time. At least the data I provided might help someone else, which is good.

So sorry to hear this but glad you are ok.

Meh, it will take a lot more than a vaccine to get rid of me, lol.

I am having my second shot on Monday. There is a shortage of Pzifer vaccines in my state and I had to call the "COVID hotline" 11 times to get an appointment. I was told "there is nothing available" the first 10 times. I just hope they don't cancel it.

Ahhhh. 24 hours after the second dose and I can't get out of bed. I feel feverish, achy, have a splitting headache and a very sore arm. I am just about to take the second nap for the day. Hope this goes away soon.

I got the Moderna vaccine, second dose was well over a month ago, in mid May. I didn't have any reaction to the first dose beyond the ability to take an afternoon nap. About 12 hours after the second dose I came down with a low grade fever (100.5) which was easily knocked down with a NSAID. Came back 12 hours after that, again, NSAID took it down, and it never came back! Injection site felt like a bruise, but beyond that no reactions.

I was the last among my family and social circle to get the vaccine, my husband got his in February. Its been so nice to be able to enjoy "fully vaccinated" life with my friends and family now.

80% of those in my region have at least 1 dose, and 71% are fully vaccinated. Mask mandates have been lifted, but honestly the majority of people are still wearing them in places like grocery stores, hardware stores etc (honestly I was kinda annoyed that everyone was wearing a mask in the outdoor garden section in 95 degree heat, because I didn't want to wear mine! But I didn't want to be that one A'hole not wearing a mask, so I wore it, fully vaccinated or not).

Just yesterday I was in San Francisco for a meeting. I walked back to the parking garage without a mask on. A man (without a mask) beat me to the elevator and pressed the button, turned to me and said "I am fully vaccinated!" I grinned ear to ear, "Yes me too! I have my card right here!"  Doing something so normal, like chatting with a stranger at an elevator, without having to wear a damn mask was so nice.

I am all for doing my part, but my county was the first in the nation to lock down, and mandate masks. I have been wearing them since March 16, 2020. It has been SO NICE to be able to take it off.

My arm was sore the night after my vaccine. The next day, I had a low grade headache and I felt tired all day. But the day after that, I felt fine. Hopefully you will feel better soon!

I think I'm an outlier. With my first dose (Pfizer) I had an arm so sore it radiated down plus in all along my collarbone - I couldn't lie on that side for more than two weeks. For three days after the shot I slept and slept. But my second dose, I had literally no side effects...like, nothing. 😂 Weird.

How are you feeling now?

I might finally be getting vaccinated tomorrow.

I want to get Pfizer. It's going to have to wait a few days now, but I really want to get it over and done with.

Finally had my second dose of Pfizer a couple of days ago.

First dose - had a really sore arm for a couple of days. Like I'd been decently bruised. No fatigue, headaches or anything else, just the sore arm.

Second dose - virtually no pain in the arm, but I was quite fatigued yesterday. More of a muscular fatigue all over - of a similar level I'd have with a flu shot or a lengthy exercise session. All good today though.

Interesting how the reactions were so different each time.

I had a fever today, took Tylenol late this afternoon, and feel better now, just sleepy. I wonder if that's it, for side-effects. I used aspercreme on my arm again, at the same time, and it feels a lot better, too.

My wife got her 3rd one yesterday. She also received the flu shot on Friday, Aug. 14 as well. I don't know if that was a little much or not but she never really had any problems after the first two, but today her arm was a lot sorer and she developed a temperature this afternoon that got all the way up to 102.6 but is currently down to between 100.6-100.9 with Tylenol as well. I hope that is all she has.

I hope so, too. ❤️ I now have chills again, all over my arms, shoulders, back, and legs. So I'm going to bed. :) Taking Tylenol PM, too.

My wife's fever broke about 8:00am this morning. Thank goodness she still has a slight headache, but her fever lasted around 24hrs.

I would get the vaccine all over again but I wish I got the Pfizer or Moderna instead of the J&J. At the time it wasn't easy to get one so we jumped at the chance but if I knew then what I know now I would have waited a bit to get one of the other ones. That being said it is what it is I am sure good quality boosters will be available.

It appears there have been some recent changes to the CDC guidelines regarding booster shots.

"New People age 18 years and older who received Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may get a booster."

"IF YOU RECEIVED
Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna

You should get a booster if you are:

Ages 50 years and older

Ages 18 years and older and live in a long-term care setting

You may get a booster if you are:

Ages 18 years and older"

"IF YOU RECEIVED
Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen

You should get a booster if you are:

18 years or older"

I was very happy to read that yesterday.  My original shot was J&J so I was already able to get my booster.  But several of my friends that had Moderna or Pfizer have had to wait.
