When I filled out the questionnaire the system honestly it said I didn't qualify for a test. I called my doctor who also said I don't have enough symptoms to qualify for a test & it's probably just my annual sniffles. I actually feel it dissipating today so I'm less anxious. I'm happy to hear that! 👍 You absolutely behaved responsibly d0nnivain.. I wake up with the sniffles at least twice a week, with all the pollen around. Anyway, I'm glad you're okay. This makes absolutely no sense. This is what they were doing back in March and April, when testing was in its infancy and much less available, they were telling people that they only "qualify for a test" if they had certain symptoms. But now it is not like that. Testing is widely available and anyone can get a test. You just have to go to your local testing center. Your profile says you are in northeastern USA. I'm in New York. There are public testing centers everywhere, there is no such thing as "qualifying for a test." 1
Author d0nnivain
There aren't public testing centers where I am. You either have to qualify or have a prescription. I can't get either. I also can't get tested in NYC because I don't live there.
poppyfields
Every state and every jurisdiction with each state has their own requirements. Why don't we simply believe d0nnivain when she says there aren't public testing centers where she is and that one either has to qualify or have a prescription. She had the sniffles. No other symptoms. She has not been exposed. She is self-isolating. There is no justification to suggest she must be lying or unaware or otherwise acting irresponsibly. THAT is what makes no sense to me. I trust d0nnivain is a responsible person who would never do anything to place others at risk. Again @d0nnivain, I am glad you're okay. Hot tea, tablespoon of honey, 3 tablespoons of whiskey. Works every time for me.

Either you're sick enough to seek appropriate medical advise/treatment....or you're not. You can simply ask a pharmacist for some over the counter remedies for this yearly sniffle, if you're well enough to not talk to your healthcare provider. No need to debate the availability of testing/vaccinations, etc. when you haven't even consulted your medical provider about your symptoms. If you were exposed or have doubts/fears, call your doctor for advice. Covid is not a DIY medical guessing game. If you are serious and think you're carrying it around, you would get to your doctor pronto.
